Good quality, cute presentation, value for money
Amazing little pad. Presentation is just beyond cute and the product itself is an amazing quality. I ordered the pink one ( yeah partial for the colour ) didn’t check the paper which is hot pressed and has a really smooth surface. Paper handles watercolours nicely and the company included a cute and handy little tool which can be used to remove paper from the block. All in all good quality product, pretty presentation and I may include amazing customer service

Design and quality
Very elegant design. I love it!The paper sheets have back thickness edges which give them a very elegant and precious value. The quality of the paper is good for watercolour and gouache. The water keeps well on the paper and even if very wet, it doesn't lose the shape very easily.

Good for painting on but......
The block looks lovely and is well presented. It is great to paint and draw on. As a paper block it works very well and is able to hold a lot of water without effecting the paper underneath. But I lowered the stars because of a few things. The paper is not easily taken off the block, every time it rips, even if I use a knife to try to delicately remove the paper. The black glue sticks to all sides of the paper and there is no removing it. I also wish the blocks were replaceable, the cover is to nice to throw away so I will find a way to reuse.

Beautiful watercolour paper in a handy size and format to take anywhere
Very pretty little watercolour pad . I do like how it looks very much and the fact it is a pad and not a book is very handy, however I didn’t realise that it was what most watercolour paper manufacturers call a ‘block’ I wanted a little book but with watercolour paper in to take outside sketching with my portable tin of paints and my travel brush which is completely my own fault but I’m actually happy that I made this mistake because the paper will not buckle when I use it if I leave it on the pad until the paint is dry it should stay totally flat. It’s the perfect size to fit in a handbag, the paper is gorgeous, the book doesn’t weigh too much to carry outside without having a car some books are a pain to take out. I’m looking forward to the rain stopping so I can go get the bus somewhere out of Plymouth and do some En Plein Air watercolours! I love this little book.

Don't buy this block all the paper rips getting it out.
Do not buy this block of watercolour paper. The paper itself is lovely to paint on but getting the paper out of the book is a terrible experience. The glue of the block holding paper in is way to strong and leaves horrible black glue all around the edges of the paper. It's so difficult to remove from the block the paper rips and tears. I ended up ripping a painting I was hoping to gift and had to scrap it. In the end I took them all out and will have to use all the paper as scrap or practice because you really wouldn't want to give it to anyone. Very disappointing for the price.

It’s ok...
So I understand why this book has mixed reviews. Upon taking the plastic wrap off, the cover has either faded in places or it’s just the poor quality of the wrap. The Chinese caught me off guard as I didn’t see it in the photos, but I’m not too fussed by it.When opening the book the first page has been stained by the black cover. The pages are difficult to separate, the black ink doesn’t help you guide where the page lines are in order to separate them, I don’t mind so much that the black edging stays on the page as any good drawings/paintings will be presented in frames. But, I did have to use a cheese knife to separate the pages as the normal dinner knifes weren't doing a successful job.For all of this, £20 is expensive. But it pretty much is the only book form of watercolour paper on amazon without being a paper pad.Now the good points, the paper seems lovely, the paper looks smooth and has a nice tone, I shall later on how the media works on it, but I’m hopeful. So I would say, if you’re not too bothered by the page edges and a book that isn’t really that classy then go for it.But if you want ease of use, just get a paper pad.Update: I went through some of the pages as the first half will be used for sketching and there is a random Paul Rubens logo imprinted on the page( see photo) this is certainly weird as it’s a couple of pages in the book.

My favourite watercolour pad!
The media could not be loaded. The cover has a really luxurious and high quality feel. Papers are thick and have a very nice texture. They are thoroughly glued around all edges and this pad comes together with a matching plastic knife to separate the paper from the pad after the painting has dried. Brushing the entire paper with water to paint wet-in-wet is no problem. Once it has dried, you can cut the painting from the pad and it’s completely flat. Perfect paper pad to bring on a field trip! And the pink cover is so adorable!

Schöner Block
Es ist kein Notizbuch, so wie es aussieht. Ist ein Block.Ich find ihn recht hübsch. Kam gut verpackt an.

Naja - keine Ahnung, wo die Begeisterung her kommt.
