Bingfu VHF UHF Car Truck Police Scanner Adhesive Mount Antenna Vehicle Mobile Ham Amateur Radio BNC Male Dipole Antenna Compatible with Uniden Bearcat Whistler Shack Radio Scanner

I originally bought this for my new Uniden Bearcat Trunked Scanner, but ended up getting a Anytime Dual Band 2-way Radio as I am a "First Responder of 30+ years" I just had to find an adapter that would fit the Bingfu VHF UHF Car Truck antenna to the Anytime 2-way radio...and it works great both for TX & RX. I also purchased a second one for the scanner that I originally bought the antenna for in the first place, and I attached it to my bedroom window(inside) I live in an extremely rural area and in the middle of the "pine barrens" In South Jersey so reception sucks, using the teliscoping antenna that the unit came with barley picked up anything, even off the repeater tower less than a mile from me, using the Bingfu VHF UHF Car Truck antenna I'm picking up portables from 30+ miles away.

it's a small antenna, is it like 5-6" max? It's small so that threw me off, i thought looking at picture it was a bigger antenna. The cable length is 8-10' i think? and has a double stick tape to stick high on a window. The end is a BNC type male. I tried it on a bearcat 15x with pre-programmed channels and mainly listen to airport departures and arrivals, but they came in clear and i'm about 6-7 miles from the airport. So a little surprised this little antenna does work and was a decent price.

CORD NEEDS ADDITIONAL PROTECTION AT PLUG TO RADIO. ANTENNA WORKS WELL BUT CORD ON FIRST UNIT BROKE AT PLUG AFTER 8 MONTHS. WILL WRAP THIS ONE WITH TAPE..

Pretty good antenna for your scanner. A must have.

The item is as advertised, but with nuances. I've used this thing for a while now, and it is a basic dipole antenna. It will receive just as good as any other fractional wave dipole. I found the RX to work better on UHF frequencies (due to element length) than VHF freq. The cabling is a little flimsy, but the connector isn't terrible. As a small portable antenna, it works; just don't expect this thing to work magic.

Less than half of the range of the original extendable wire antenna that came with my Uniden. Transmissions are delayed several seconds. If youre in a pinch for an antenna, installing one these is nearly the same as a broken scanner. Don't waste your money.

Works good

Bought the antenna for a ham radio. Works better than the one that came with radio, louder and clearer! Good reception at wide range of frequency, every one I tried (20 to 3000 MHZ) which is great compared to 10 other antennas I tried (rabbit ears, HD tv power ant., mag&electric loop, telescopic and portable).

For the money, it gives me further distance and I'm happy with. And very easy to use. I just wish the cable was about 10 feet longer.

For a little antenna the quality of reception is amazing. The only downside is the coax separates from the BNC housing easily had to reattach.
