nice products, great customer service
I have purchased multiple Leatherman holsters from RAE. I have the wave, the bit holder and the MUT sheaths. I never really carried my tools much due to the big wobbly sheaths that came with them. I always felt it's weight on my hip and it always got it the way. Now, I have worn the wave with the RAE sheath for 2 weeks and hardly remember it is there. It fits tight and compact on the waist, the weight is not noticeable and the fit is perfect. The MUT sheath was tight. I reached out to customer service and they were awesome! they sent me out a replacement that day and more than met my expectations. I plan on getting the signal for my son so I will be getting the sheath from RAE for that as well.

Wave version struck gold, the Mut variant struck bedrock.
I have Rae gear's version of this for the Wave, and I consider that one of my best Amazon purchases of the past 2 years. Sadly the Mut version falls far short of its counterpart's versatility, fit, and reliability. The steel is soft and malleable instead of springing back, the fit and finish are mediocre and require the removal of the Mut's belt clip, and it lacks the ease of use, extra tools, and bit kit storage I loved so much with my Wave. I'll hang on to it in the hope I find a reason to use it, but it won't be taking over for the case that Leatherman included with the Mut.

Do not buy
it scratched my mat the first time I used it plus I could barely get it out of this sheath so I returned it the next day . I have the same chief brand for my Gerber and love it so I don’t know why this one was problematic. They are a great company and it is well-made but again I don’t wanna be scratching up $160 tool every time I take it out of its sheath I only want to scratch it up while I’m using it or working with it

Junk! Not even a close fit. If you want to scratch up your $150 leatherman go for it. So disappointed.
