I've had about 3 of these since the 80s or early 90s. One still worked but it was over 15 years old. It was given to a friend who needed an opener. The next one was somehow mistreated and the handle broke, after years, and I'm excited to get this one. It is quieter than the other two and even smoother! I am so pleased with the performance and quality of these can openers, I continue to be pleased to buy them. They work well and smoothly. Very reliable and fast. Highly recommended - and the price is amazing. I have bought other brands and none work as well. It's easy, it's plug and play, clean, and straightforward to remove the lid. Also, I have never seen it in black (my others were white). It is very sharp in black.

Wanted a simple electric can opener at a great price and good looks for my kitchen. I am a senior and the hand opener isn't so easy anymore. I haven’t had an electric can opener since the 70s when I was a kid. Back then you couldn’t clean the blade off easily and I remember it being disgusting. I always use a handheld can opener for that reason so that I could put it into the dishwasher. I found this one and the blade pops right off. You can rinse it and wash it and put it right back on. Super easy and very effective at opening cans.

I bought this for my 86 year old mother who was having difficulties opening cans. She LOVES it and wonders why she waited so long to get one. It is so easy to operate! Truly an excellent product for people whose hands have difficulty opening cans with a handheld can opener. And the price is fantastic too! Simply lift the handle, align the can with the blade, push down gently, and it starts to open. It holds the can in place until you remove the lid. Couldn't be easier! Don't wait years to get one! You won't be disappointed!

Llevaba muchos años con un abrelatas de otra marca que aún funcionaba pero estaba oxidado y por lo tanto no me parecía muy seguro para estar en contacto con mis alimentos. Como consumo pocos alimentos enlatados, probablemente uso el abrelatas una vez cada 2 o 3 semanas. Por lo tanto, decidí esperar hasta que este producto estuviera disponible a un precio accesible y logré conseguirlo por menos de cuatrocientos pesos (no es el mejor precio que haya tenido en Amazon pero tampoco es el más caro). Al recibirlo, me di cuenta que es aún más bonito en la vida real ya que tiene un aspecto muy moderno y profesional. También pude comprobar que funciona de maravilla y requiere de muy pocos conocimientos para poder usarlo. Se integra perfectamente a mi cocina ya que es negro y combina con todo (y se ensucia con menos facilidad). Ahora solo espero que me dure por lo menos la misma cantidad de años que el anterior (aunque de preferencia incluso más).

Sadly I had to return this as it is not suitable for use in the uk due to having an American plug. It would have saved a lot of trouble if they it stated in the description that it is only useful for USA.
