This very basic tricorn hat is great as a costume piece, or for all you everyday pirates. It feels a wee bit like cheap felt, HOWEVER, I've actually handled cowboy hats at Cavender's that are about this quality, so yes, if you wish to wear this as part of your everyday look, it will work just fine. the buttons do unbutton to let any of the sides hang lower. you may need a scarf or bandanna to wear under it if you want it to fit snugly.

Fairly good quality for the price, but inside it is large and very round, so I had to pad it and glue in several layers of felt on the side so it wouldnt just slide off in any direction. I was decorating it anyway so didn't mind spending more time altering it to fit, but unless you've a large head, I'm not sure I'd suggest it for a first choice if you just want to throw it on and wear it without a bit of effort.

This was the perfect pirate hat for my costume. I added some trim and jewels to jazz it up and it looks great. It was a good blank canvas. It's a little big for my head, but if I wear a wig or add horse hair, it will fit fine.

This item is a CHILD-SIZE hat!Each side measures 12", inside opening of had varies from 7 1/2"-8"...which is plenty big enough to fit adult head, but depth of the crown about 3 1/2" deep, a bit shallow (the product description has no idea of what it is describing 😡) When they mention "boy's size"...that is correct. I wore a large tied bandanna and the hat stayed on until the breeze picked up.Quality-wise..you get what you pay for..but thickness of the formed felt is somewhere between Dollar Store and cheap cowboy hat..so not totally awful.I would have preferred a larger-circumference brim as I needed a pirate sun hat, but I had to use an umbrella with the hat.Anyway, my 9 yo loves the hat, and it looks great on them 😊So I gave a 3 star rating, mostly because I Read every review and adults had claimed it fit "great"..so either those reviews are fake or none of those buyers has any idea at all of sizes...and I don't like being lied to..The reason this has any rating at all is that this hat is usable and decent quality for the price

I got this hat because it was the best available for my son’s admittedly odd costume choice of Musketeer Mickey.As kids do, he got his hands on it early. He’s been playing with this hat for three months now (it’s November) and it’s still in great shape. Did I mention he’s a toddler?

This hat is super simple, but if you're crafty, you can do all kinds of things to dress it up! That's what I did! Had some trouble with the snaps though. At first, they wouldnt stay snapped because the material is pretty stiff. Then I had one of the snaps break completely. But I'm pretty handy with a glue gun and it wasn't a problem.

Perfect for rennecaunce festival!! I got a ton of compliments.
