FLASHFORGEPLA 3D Printing Filament 1.75mm 1KG/Roll for Creator Series (Gold)

Do not buy!
Total waste of money. Firstly the adhesion to my heatbed has been terrible. I have NEVER had to use tape until I tried this PLA. Secondly I have never had to change a nozzle but this clogged 3 nozzles in just over a week. Thirdly - the PLA ranges from 1.6 - 1.9mm in diameter (might be the reason for the clogs). I also had to drop my flow rate down to 92% to get anywhere near a decent print - but then it clogged the nozzle and messed it up anyway so another waste of time. I will not be using the remaining reel as it is too much hassle.

Completely fails to print
Simply cannot print with this stuff on my Adventurer 3. Everything else I've tried works fine, so I know it's this filament. Tried a variety of settings within Flashprint including the default PLA settings but the filament just comes out of the nozzle and fails to lay down properly, meaning layers do not adhere. I suspect this is the 'new' stuff everybody else is complaining about. I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed since it appears to have been out for a good 6 months or so.

It's actually been a pleasure to work with so far.
I'm relatively new to 3d printing and wanted some nice vibrant colours to try and get the rest of my family engaged in the hobby. I recently got a Flashforge Finder printer on a great offer, and as I'm a bit new I thought I might be better sticking with the Flashforge brand filament to try and avoid any compatibility issues as I'm still dialling in the settings. This actually seems to have worked out okay EXCEPT the Finder uses smaller size spools than most of the Flashforge brand filmanent ships in - it needs 500g small spools with a small central spindle, and most of the filament available is 1kg standard spools that are too large to fit within the internal spool housing at the rear. My biggest piece of advice once you've got the bed calibrated is to print yourself an external spool holder AND filament guide, if you don't do it with the sample spool that comes with the machine you'll need to manually load your new filament onto the old spool. Once you've done this you're rocking though. Well worth it. So once you've got the filament working it feeds through flawlessly, and gives lovely vibrant results. I haven't seen any issues with jam, contaminants etc and the diameter seems to be lovely and consistent. It's actually been a pleasure to work with so far.

Inconsistent quality between orders
I have ordered this filament twice. The first time, 4 months ago, everything was OK. The second time this wasn't the same filament. While it is still a white PLA weighing 1 kgr, the texture of the filament is obviously different. The prints come out also very different. So far the warping is substantially more serious and there are a lot of bubbles/cavities formed in the first layer. The sticker on the spool has changed and so does tge temperature recommendation. While this is more generous than before, it is perhaps another indication that the filament has changed. I don't know if the change would be better for another printer, but for my finder ( this can be used on an external spool) the results are worse. Also, consistency is important when reordering the same item.

Poor quality filament from a well-known name
Judging by other people's reviews I may have received an unusually poor reel but from first receiving this filament until struggling for hours with it I have found it to be the worst I've ever used (40+ reels from multiple manufacturers). The reel was vacuum packed well with dessicant but I found it to be extremely brittle and the end snapped just pulling the end from the side of the reel. The filament was also wrapped on the reel very poorly and extremely kinked throughout it's length. This meant that on my bowden setup it was adding extra strain to the drive gears and would the drive teeth would often skip at normal speeds. Actually printing with this I found that it needed to be printed at a higher temp. than other PLA's I have used, even considerably cheaper ones. I also found that it had very poor bed adhesion and inconsistent extrusion. After hours of fiddling trying to get it to print correctly I've abandoned using this filament and will never buy another flashforge filament. Even at this reasonable price I expected a lot more.

Hideous filament - terrible adhesion, bad consistency
I fought with this... and it wonI gave in and have returned it - the worst filament I have tried in the past couple of years (bear in mind I have had years old cheap filament and got it to adhere and print better than this stuff)It arrived and I loaded it up and it refused to stick to the bed, tried different settings and re-checking tramming, bed cleaning and all the other voodoo....till I got bored of wasting my time and nozzle cleaning rather than printing, switched back to another filament and got back to printingI came back on here to make the return and noticed I am not alone....You have been warned - I will not be buying filament without taking heed to the reviews next time (and I am not going to waste my time on Flashforge branded stuff again)(Maybe I have just been lucky in the last couple of years that no matter which PLA I have bought - from £5 bargain basement to the decent stuff I have - it has always been relatively drama free and at least stuck to the bed...)

Failed prints
So I am still quite new to 3d printing and needed to swap from ABS to PLA for the ease of use for newbs according to the 3d printing community, so I tried this, flashforge is a well recognised brand so I thought it would be ok... I was wrong!First off, I had several failed prints due to adhesion issues, managed to over come this with a pritt stick on the bed, which now means I have marks all over the bed! This stuff also keeps clogging my nozzles. So in all, I wouldn't recommend this at all. Save your money and avoid** please note 2 stars as I did manage to get a couple of very small prints to work that came out ok but the rest was rubbish**

Not genuine flashforge
I have been reordering this each time I have ran out as I have always had good results with the flashforge PLA shipped with the Creator Pro. However, this latest time the filament recieved is not the genuine flashforge filament. It is unbranded, different shade of white and poorly spooled. Will not be buying again
