Tested extensively by the Dutch National BMX Team, Damien Godet, Kory Cook, and numerous other elite racers, Box Two Freewheels combine durability with lightning-fast engagement. They feature nine, super durable pawls and are available in one of three choices -- 16, 17 or 18 teeth. Installation Notes: To install, use the Park Tools FR-6 or other installation tool designed for single speed freewheels with four notches that are approximately 32mm across measured inside to inside and 40mm outside to outside.

Poorly machined threads damaged my hub
I bought this freewheel after having tried regular/cheap fw as well as a top notch WI Eno fw.Issues: the threads were not machined cleanly and damaged my hub. I used an old hub and old euro bb cups to clean the threads but it was so bad that it still was hard to thread and produced aluminum shedding from my hub when I thread it. I shudder thinking I could have damaged an expressive hub, thankfully it was a medium-priced one.Second issue is common to many fw, it does not spin fully centered, causing tight and loose spots as the wheel spins when coasting. I check the hub with a cilpatator to ensure it wasn’t the hub. This is a bit disappointing for a fw that was supposed to be high end and precisely machined. On the positives the sound is loud and « exotic » due to the high number of pawls and points of engagement.I didn’t return it because I don’t have a spare and need to keep training at the track.

Very smooth, well built, for the price it cant be beat. Replaced Origin8 hornet with this on a Big Ripper. Felt the different immediately

It’s a solid purchase, I can imagine there are better out there if you must have the best.
It’s a solid purchase. The engagement is excellent! Leaves nothing to be desired. I installed it on my fixed gear flip-flop hub. The chain line was perfect with my 60T chain ring.Cons, it’s on the heavier side, however, I can imagine that this is a heavy duty item and will last if you don’t mind the extra weight. Also, the sound is Meh if that sort of thing is important to you. I have industry nine wheels with high engagement hubs on my Scott mountain bike. They sound amazing! So I guess I’m a bit spoiled 🤷🏽♂️

It’s way mo betta
What a huge difference from the OEM product. It’s immediately noticeable, my acceleration out of the gate is way faster. Better acceleration when approaching jumps, and coming out of turns. I’m very pleased with this. I’m running 42/16 and for my height and weight “ 5’9” 200” this seems to work great.

Love this freewheel...
Completely changed the way my Big Ripper rides. The ride felt a little clunky with the stock freewheel. This freewheel made it completely smooth and responsive. Easy to install with the right tool. The price has gone up since I purchased it so at $64 I felt like I got an incredible deal.

works perfectly
everything is machined good and works perfectly, although i wish that this wasnt made to fit both 1/8 and 3/32. i wish they had one devoted to 1/8 so they could make the teeth a bit beefier.

High Quality, good price point
I built a single speed wheel for a 29er and used this freewheel. I am somewhat new to thread-on freewheels so understand that.18 tooth modelPros- lots of pawls, satisfying freewheel sound, uses the most common freewheel removal tool, mid price between White Industries and the bargain Shimano stuff.Cons- seemed a little heavy, but I have nothing to compare it to. Will need to see how it holds up to corrosion. Nothing so far
