How do you use to remove nails from pallets. I must be doing something wrong :/

Must be hooked up to air compressor. It put it on a nail that is sticking out and it will push the head out so that it is real easy to finish pulling out with hammer.

What’s the best method/location that you have found? The gun works AMAZING but it shoots the nails (out) all over my garage floor, etc.

I crumple up a bunch of plastic shopping bags, an old drop cloth, (or anything else that can absorb the shock of the flying nails) and put them in a cardboard box. Then I make sure the nails I’m extracting are pointed into the box of crumply stuff. Every once in a while, one will fly out, so I make sure I’m wearing safety glasses and nobody else is around while I’m using it.

is the piston replaceable?

If you read the manual I'm sure there is a number you can call to get replacment but it is so cheap you probably can just get a new one
