How can this be one handed if it's not spring loaded?

You use a finger as your spring. Kind of like working chop sticks. It’s a two hand tool but it is usable with one hand when you need to hold a hoof in your hand for a cut or two.

Are the width of the blades small enough for mini's so it doesn't take off too much at once?
