Each! *by J***4 on Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2022* I first bought this product in 2019 because my single cat needed a fountain, and after much consideration, I’m so glad that I chose this product! The kept the first one for two years, and only replaced it because the screen for the filter had become so worn after two years that it wouldn’t properly filter anymore, and the wires for the pump were continuously growing algae. I’m still impressed that the first fountain lasted two years, the only issue I had with it was that the light went out quickly but it still worked perfectly. So I bought the second one last year (2021) and it’s still working even better than the first one! They’re almost exactly the same, but this second pump is a little harder to clean. Other than that, the second one has been flawlessly working for over a year! I don’t understand how some people say their only lasted a couple of months because I’ve had no complaints about the two that they I’ve purchased over the years. They each lasted a lot longer than expected, and only needed to be replaced when it became understandably worn out. I am confused about why I can no longer purchase the filters though. I only got on Amazon today to buy more filters and apparently they are no longer selling the ones for this fountain? So I may need to figure out something else. Just wanted to say that I’ve been very glad to have this product in my home and my cat absolutely loves it. He drinks so much more water now than he used to, and I will purchase this product again when it’s time to replace the current one (probably next year). It's easy to add fresh water and it's easy and quick to clean (they recommend flushing it out every 4 days or so. Easy to change the filter when it's time to do so. Everything about it is convenient. Cats really like drinking out of the fountain so I don't need additional water bowls. It's simple, not many parts, easy to clean and not too loud. However, one thing that I didn't notice about the design until I recieved it, is that the top is somewhat shallow. It operates on the premise that the pump pumps faster than the top can drain. So if the pump gets clogged, power goes out or it just plain stops working and the water level isnt completely full, your pet won't have access to the water its holding under the top! I have an older fountain that is open and if it fails, the majority of the water is still available to drink. In fact it failed and is pretty old and stained/scratched and bought this to replace it. I now think I'll buy something to supplement this one as a backup. We only leave our pup outside when it's cooler but I worry if I ever didn't fill it completely up before leaving for work in the morning and she was outside and this thing failed somehow , she wouldn't have water!Sidenote, this thing is more of a bubbler and really not a fountain.
