I previously had a a 20 oz stainless steel vacuum insulated thermos that I'd bought but lost it. I kept meaning to replace it and recently when I came to Amazon I saw a tumbler in Deals of the Day but even as a 'deal' it was pretty pricey. I saw this one in the related products below at less than half the cost of that so called deal price, and after looking thru reviews and questions decided to go for it. I don't drink coffee (yes I'm aware that makes me a 'weirdo' to most coffee aficionados! lol) so I mainly wanted this for cold drinks (and occasionally hot chocolate or hot tea once they're in season again here). Keeping things cold is what these types of containers excel at and this does a great job of it! (Regardless of who they're made by they all keep things cold longer than they keep things hot generally speaking). The ice doesn't last quite as long as in my old thermos but I expected that since the thermos had a stainless steel screw on lid which retained temps a bit better. I'm totally fine with the difference tho since the trade off is not having to unscrew a lid every time I want a drink (it's pour spout feature was erratic at best) and the thermos lid also had to be taken entirely apart periodically to tediously hand wash & air dry the inside parts, gasket, etc. so that it didn't get gross. This tumbler is SO much easier to use and maintain and it's nice to have the choice between a flip and a slide top lid (and to have two lids in general - we all know cups and their lids find a way to get separated at times despite our best efforts lol). I'm happy that there's no issues with leaks either (whereas I panicked if my old 'leak proof' thermos got knocked over even if the lid was screwed on tight). This tumbler is easy to pick up, hold, and drink from with it's smaller at the bottom/wider at the top design and non slip finish. I'm personally a lil clumsy at times tho so I went looking for a handle and found the EVERIE Handle for YETI 20 oz fits perfectly on this tumbler (I got purple but other colors are available. And even adding the cost of a handle this was still cheaper than the 'deal' for just the tumbler!) The steel straw was a nice little bonus. I'd been thinking about getting steel straws to replace using plastic disposables (which I used to wash & reuse) and here this deal came with one as part of the package. Now if I decide to buy a few more to have on hand I already have the cleaning brush tool for them as well. I saw a review saying their straw didn't reach the bottom of their tumbler but I haven't had that problem. Overall I'm really happy with this purchase! It does what I need it to, doesn't do things I don't want it to (like leaking or being a pain to keep clean) and the price is unbeatable compared to similar items. Unless you need to overpay for a trendy brand name, you really can't go wrong buying this tumbler.

This was a gift from my wife. I didn't want to read the reviews or look at the product details out of respect for my wife and to maintain the element of surprise. I knew she had gotten me a tumbler, but that was about it. So, when I received it, I was pleasantly surprised. I love the sleek design, and the weight of the tumbler feels adequate. Not too heavy, not too light. A sturdy construction. I really loved that it included two different lid options. I've yet to try the flip lid, but the slider lid works quite well (and better than any other previous tumbler I've owned). It's not spill-proof, but it definitely reduces the chances of having a terrible spill if the tumbler were to accidentally tip over. I've tested it by completely turning a full cup, with the lit shut, on its side with not much more than a drop or two coming out, and that happens rather slowly. I would imagine that it wouldn't be a great idea to leave the tumbler on its side for long, as it would certainly create a bit of a mess, but if it were to just tip over and picked up rather quickly, the damage would be minimal to none. My beverage stayed hot for almost a full shift at work. Sure, it's not piping hot after 4 hours (or so), but hot enough that I could enjoy my drink and not be grossed out. I truly hate tepid coffee. This is summer, though, so I'm eager to see how it performs during the winter when exposed to much colder temperatures. I'll try to update my review then. I don't have much use for the straw, as I would only use the tumbler with hot beverages, but I admit it was a nice addition to the entire thing. Overall, I'm very happy with this gift and would recommend it to anyone. For the price, it's perfect!

About two cups and they are really awesome oh I love it when you put your drink in there if it's cold it's going to stay cold for a long time if it's hot it's going to stay hot for a long time and you can barely open and close it keep things from flying in there I love it

I bought this to make ice coffee in as my new coffee maker had a size limit of 7in tall and my other tumbler i bought was way too tall. i dont drink much coffee, a few times a week at the most, but when i do it has to be ice coffee and buying it straight from the store was getting expensive so i bought a k-cup ice coffee maker and this tumbler. i made my first cup the other day filled the tumbler with ice and had the coffee made directly into the tumbler.it worked great and the lid i used was the sliding one with the straw but it does come with 2 diff lids a sliding one and a pop top i used the sliding one, anyways i had the coffee drunk in about 30 mins and it still had ice i then left it out and it still had ice 5 hours later. i was very surprised and liked it so much i bought 3 more of these today so if you want a cheap tumbler thats great at keeping things cold including having ice in it this tumbler is for you. its also dishwasher safe

Bought 2 of these for my fiancee because her old travel mug (another brand) got water in the insulation chamber that won't come out. She doesn't like change (of any kind) and I'm always reluctant to replace anything that she says "it's just fine" but I took a chance and ordered these. Pros: Fits nice in the hand and is easy to carry. Good size. The fit and finish seem really good, if this changes I'll update my review Keeps her coffee hot, we went on a train ride to Atlantic City, she left it in the car and when we got back HOURS later she said it was still hot (it's summer but the interior of the car wasn't really hot). It came with the straw and cleaning brush (she likes to drink her coffee from a straw) 2 lids included, the slide lid is better see nose con below. It's priced right, some of them are WAY overpriced. Tips to the company: The straw is metal, not good for drinking HOT liquids, it gets very hot, a plastic tip would help this. The flip lid doesn't flip far enough, you hit your nose on it when trying to drink, she uses the slide lid so it's not really an issue for her. She doesn't tilt the cup so I have no idea if the lids are leak proof or not. All in all seems like a great travel cup, the old one lasted well over 10 years with occasional use, hope these do the same.

This mug is awesome! It does indeed hold up to the 6 hour time of keeping beverages hot. I use it primarily for brewed coffee. It does so well that the first hour is kind of useless (for me anyway) because it stays the same temperature and it’s too hot for my preference, so I just keep the drinking tab open. The remaining 5 hours it stays in the comfortable range. My coffee is usually gone before it even reaches lukewarm. A couple things to note, yes the mug does hold 20 oz but if the lid is on it only holds 18. I figured that out when I brewed 2 10 oz pours from my keurig. I need to brew an 8 oz and a 10 oz instead. Not a big deal. It is also not leak PROOF but is very leak resistant. For me but it has taken a lot of jostling around in my cup holder while driving or walking to even seep a bit, so not a concern The only gripe with cleaning is the slide tab lid can tend to get whatever it is I’m drinking residue stuck underneath if I don’t clean it soon enough. The tab will come off with some careful pinching to release it from the track while pushing underneath the lid through the drink hole. That’s it! For the $10 this mug costs it is totally worth it.

I bought two of these travel mugs to replace my Contigo ones whose plastic/silicone/rubber lids started smelling faintly of expired milk and coffee. This has happened without fail to my Contigo travel mug lids NO MATTER how quickly or thoroughly I clean them. So I was eager to switch brands. Why pay $15-$20 for one mug when I have to replace them so often? When I saw this product at this price point, I wanted to try it out. I've been using these travel mugs every day for weeks and they are amazing. I love that each one come with TWO hard plastic lids (one flips up and one slides) AND it comes with a reusable steel straw and straw cleaner for iced coffee or tea (perfect for summer). Not to mention, they are somehow very lightweight yet large. This is probably the best deal on Amazon I've found this year. Excellent quality product at an unbelievable price. I will be buying two more for my daughter to use in law school too. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a tightly sealed, easy to clean, and affordable travel mug.

Second purchase, able to keep hot water hot for hours as needed.

Have had these mugs for 4 years and get used for hot and cold and they still keep things at the right temperature when you use the lids. The lids are showing signs of wear but still work but that’s to be expected. Very impressive since they are used daily.

Depending on the massive positive feedbacks ordered this mug. This doesn't keep my coffee at least 2 hours in drinking temperature. I have few cheap travel mugs and this one in the same level when it comes to heat retention. Sliding lid drips drink if you turn the mug around. Really unhappy. If you need a good product, just go with Thermos or Sojurushi.

3,5 hours latter coffee was warm not hot even if it was boiling hot when I’ve left home. Also because it is not a screw lid the hot steam is pushing it up when hot.
