Baby Memory Book - First Year Milestone Keepsake Journal & Photo Album with Birthday Pages to Age 5, 48 Guided Pages, Gender Neutral Hardcover | Lucy Darling Little Rainbow

Okay, so I absolutely love this baby book, and I am not sure what other people feel is lacking from it. The artwork/imagery is gorgeous and appealing to look at, which is the first thing that I noticed about this book. My firstborn's baby book was a gift given to me, and I have to say, this baby book beats it for so many reasons (starting with the beautiful artwork). My firstborn's baby book was all pale blue and white - very boring to look at even after filling it out and adding pictures and stickers. I did not like the set up of the book at all. THIS baby book has a great format. The book starts off with some simple stuff like a picture of the ultrasound, how far along you were in pregnancy during the ultrasound, a picture of mama's belly, who you first told about the pregnancy, etc. The space for all of the information for when baby is born is simple and adorable, and there is a big page where you can include foot prints and hand prints. There's space to include a birth announcement, hospital bracelet and a picture of the baby's new home. All of the months (e.g. "1 Month," "2 Month," "3 Month," etc.) are back to back pages which I LOVE, because they are all in one place. I can only imagine how cute it will be to flip through these pages and see the growth of our child. Each month has a few things you can write about, such as "We'll never forget..." "You love..." "You don't like..." "You can..." Very simple, but some nice stuff to jot down. Someone mentioned that the spaces for the pictures are too small, so much that said person got very upset. I have to say that I completely disagree. The spaces given for photos are pretty generous, and much larger than I have seen in other baby books. In my firstborn's baby book, the spaces for the pictures were so tiny, at least half of the size of what you are given in this baby book. There is a page for your baby's favorite things, such as: song, cartoon, color, foods, sound, friend, game, toys, and book. There is a page for your baby's family tree. First bath, first smile, first Dr. visit, etc. Spaces for dates and pictures for important milestones such as when baby learns to sit up, crawl, stand, walk, etc. Then, there are a few consecutive pages where you can put pictures of their first holidays. What I especially love about this baby book is that you have moments that go beyond the first year. There are pages dedicated to your baby's birthdays going up to age 5. There is a page for you child's first day of school. At the end of the book, you get several pages that are blank where you can put whatever you want - great for moms who love to scrapbook. I'd say that the only "downside" is that you have very limited space to write, but at the same time, the format is so simple and straight forward that you don't have much reason to write more than what they give you the space for. All in all, it's a beautiful, simple, and thoughtful baby book that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a precious keepsake for their children to flip through when they are older. I can't wait to fill the entire book with the memories to come!

Super cute pages and high quality book. Only con is the title says "first year" but it technically has pages through year 5. Lol. Besides that a total love.

Absolutely LOVE this book. I wanted something that I would actually use, my first baby book i only used about 1/2 of it because I'm not a big scrapbooker. This book has all the prompts that you will WANT to remember/ fill out. The quality and durability is outstanding as well. The cover is soft, feels almost like leather, and the pages are thick. The graphics are beautiful, and girly. There are several pages in the back that are blank that can be used for extra photos or writing. The binding is a spiral notebook so you can rearrange pages as well! Some reasons this book isn't perfect for everyone; the photo squares are not a “standard” size, the writing spaces are small, the family tree prompt is confusing(definitely have to be creative to get it to work). For me this memory book is perfect. I cannot wait to fill out its pages while getting to know my newborn baby.

I’ve purchased 4 baby books over the years, all different brands. How I wish I found this one first, it is by far the best in quality, in what it captures, and in ease of completion. Absolutely beautiful. Get it!

I love this little book! It’s super cute! The colors are bright and happy. It would work for a boy or girl. It has fun inclusions past the first year and outside of just monthly pictures (think lots of first activity or holiday pictures). It’s great quality. I found bright matching monthly stickers from the same company for pictures. Here are the only things that I’ve found I don’t like: 1. The ‘Who was the leader’ when you were born section. I didn’t like putting someone so divisive in the book. I wish there was nothing gov/politics related. I’d rather have a ‘big news’ section where you can choose a news event to add. The leader section has no wiggle room for info. 2. The family tree section is super cute, but not really ideal. I understand that it’s to accommodate non traditional families, but it’s just strange. I had to think about it for a good week before coming up with a plan to add family. I’m still not really that happy with the outcome. To accommodate non traditional families and people who would like a 2 sided ‘tree’ to celebrate families joining and their history, I wish the book would include 2 pages and allow for 1 to be removed. They already include a ‘title page’ of information to be removed so it’s not a weird idea. 3. As others have noted, some of the picture sizes are unusual and hard to get printed. On top of that not all the picture sizes are the same, so you have to pay attention when printing. This issue bothers me a lot less, but as I did find it to be a slight annoyance, I figured it warranted mentioning. Despite all that, I would still recommend this to friends.

This is JUST what I need with twins! I spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect baby book and looked at twin specific options as well (which are quite limited and not as cute as this). I wanted something that was easy and guided me through what information to add. I used to be an avid scrapbooker and had always planned to make my own baby books but two babies and full time college definitely threw a wrench in that plan; there is ZERO time in my day. I got two of these; the Little Artist and the Little Animal Lover and the covers have a wonderful soft feel to them. Even though these aren't twin specific, there are plenty of blank pages in the back where I can add special twin things if I choose to. The artwork on each page is adorable and has encouraged me to work on my hand lettering again! I think the square photo format is perfectly modern and makes printing photos from instagram a breeze. Most photo spots in the book are either 4x4 or 3x3 but most of the large spots would accommodate a 4x6 while covering a bit of the artwork, and a pair of scissors can turn any photo into the right size. I however wanted mine printed in the correct sizes. I had a little trouble finding the 3x3 size but an online company called foxprint captures them from instagram and facebook, prints them, and even offers a sticky back option! I'm super excited to fill these in and can't wait till my babies are old enough to be interested in the stories of their birth.

This is a great baby book if you are looking for something simple (just as advertised, "A Simple Book of Firsts"!) that will not overwhelm you with pages and pages of personal information to fill in about how you are feeling about being pregnant or how you and your partner met, etc. I knew if got a book like that, I would never fill it in. All I wanted was something simple where I could paste in pictures of the baby each month along with some little memories. This book absolutely fits the bill. It also has spots for the baby's "firsts" (first bath, first smile, etc) as well as their first holidays and then after they turn 1, pages for each of their first 5 birthdays. The design is cute and modern but not not garish. All great right? Here are my issues, and ultimately why I will not be buying one of these books for my second baby: - The photo sizes needed are weird. Mostly 4x4 and 3x3. These are not standard photo sizes so it can be difficult to get these printed. Also with square photos you sometimes have to trim them awkwardly. Standard photo sizes (3x5, 4x6, etc) would be better. - While I loved that the memories to fill in each month were short and sweet, the little squares to fill them in are TINY. And sometimes that was fine, if your response was something short, but in the instance you had a little more to say, there was no where near enough room. I had to write super tiny in all the boxes and now it is a bit hard to read. Maybe if they would have left off the drawings of the animals on these pages there would have been more room for writing space. - I would have liked there to be an envelope or pouch or something to add additional mementos, ultrasounds, cards, etc. This is not a total deal breaker, you can paste in your own. If these issues would not bother you, its a great book. Unfortunately I am looking for something a bit different for my second baby's book.

Book is made of strong material and colours are perfect for the nature theme. They have a lot of different categories for “first time” such as dentist, teeth, smile etc. they also have first birthday, second, third etc. Perfect for parents that are nature lovers.

Lovely book. I wanted something a bit more modern and punchy than the typical baby books around. It’s really good quality too.

Cutest baby book. I got one for my first baby in 2016 and had to get one for the new baby this year. worth the price.
