Perfect for 8y/o
My daughter asked for a lie detector for Christmas. At first i was like where am i gonna find that? I ended up ordering this inexpensive one and she loves it.

Fun gift for the Encyclopedia Brown/Sherlock Holmes fan-boy or -girl
We purchased this as a gift for a 9-year-old and it was a hit. It is of course not a real lie detector (the science on polygraphs is uncertain, anyway), but it is a fun toy for the kid in your life who loves detective and spy stories. The device itself feels a bit flimsy but it is a diverting piece of entertainment and comes with a little book of tips on how to decode body language to tell if someone is lying or not.

Fun kids toy
Purchased for a kids spy-themed party. The kids LOVED playing with it! It definitely is just a toy though; basically 50/50 guess of truth vs lie, but still pretty fun. It has a cool secret compartment that holds "questions and tips" cards that come with the detector.

Lie detector or fun detector
Kids are having a blast playing the detective and criminal. Hours of laughter have rung through my home.

Broke same day :(
Santa gave this to our son for Christmas. He open and starting playing with it instantly. It worked for about 30 mins and stopped completely. It's not a battery issue, it just doesn't produce readings any longer. Big disappointment.

Calls for creativity
We have had a lot of fun with the lie detector! I suppose the fun depends on the child's creativity. It's given us a lot of laughs!
