I really like the (night light) shining through the amber glass. It is also a very stable lamp which is important for a floor lamp. Arrived from the west coast professionally packed with sound padding. Lamps have very nice marble accents, well executed pine cone/boughs artistry, heavy components, metal base with fine details and felt bottom (and additional felt pads were included for leveling), 3 way switch that on 1st turn lights up the amber pine cone center, 2nd turn powers the light bulb, and the 3rd turn lights up both the bulb and the center. The shades have edge stitching and are a perfect match to the bases. Not sure that they are real leather but they certainly look authentic and reminiscent of the grand old park lodges of yesteryear.
