Top! Best product so far! I don’t need to go through the whole mess bleaching my hair every time I need to color only roots it gets me the color I wanted naturally medium blonde I apply power toner right after using this product following hair wash works great together!

I used the PL2 (Mascarpone) color on virgin, salt & pepper hair. On the "salt" portions of my hair (the already silvery grey sections), it came out just like the results indicated for light brown hair on the side of the box, a true, silvery platinum. On the "pepper" portions (the darker gray sections), it came out somewhere between the results for medium brown and dark brown indicated on the side of the box; not as light as the medium results, but not as brassy yellow as the dark brown results either. In order to lift those portions of my hair that didn't lighten as much as the silver/grey did, I still had to bleach; fortunately, 15 minutes using Joico Blonde Life and 20 vol. developer did the trick, so there was no damage. In other words, If you're starting out with anything other than very light, virgin hair, this product will lighten but it will NOT get you to the silvery platinum you're most likely looking for (otherwise, you wouldn't have bought this color to begin with). Drugstore products just aren't formulated that way. If your hair is light brown or darker, or previously colored, again, this won't make your hair true platinum. You'll have to bleach first - no getting around it! Having said that, this is still a great product that will lighten without damaging and drying the hell out of your hair. I always see folks indicating in their reviews how disappointed they were with the results of this if they started out with either very dark hair, previously colored hair, or both. I say, if you keep your expectations realistic in terms of how the end results will turn out, you won't be disappointed.

Can't imagine how this very color/product could get a negative review. Only possibilities would have to be from improper use or people without proper understanding of coloring precautions when recoloring previously dyed hair. Since the 70s, there has been no time when I've been the least interested in sporting my hair's natural color, during these many decades I've cap-frosted, brushed-on, sprayed-on, dyed all, foiled a myriad of color patterns myself (and the right way,) interspersed with periods of salon dyeing and foiling-only...meaning that I've enough experience and broad product range to qualify as an expert. Selected this color in an effort to do something a bit drastic to my golden blonde color. Product arrived, I used, and much to my delight, this is the most beautiful, complimentary color and shade I've ever had! Though the color appeared a bit unusual in a shade lineup, it turned out to be miraculously lovely. Everyone to see my new color has raved over it. And another unexpected plus--the way it worked on my existing hair color--one friend--a pro-colorist remarked that the subtle but visible color streak distinctions it produced look like a couple of hundred dollars'-worth of salon color interweaving. I just love it--can't say enough in favor of it. Now, I find that Amazon reports indicate no knowledge when or (Oh-NOOOO!) if it'll ever be available again. As I've never seen this shade sold elsewhere, I am hoping it will be back-or available elsewhere. Just too good to lose. Please get it back. And for readers--just ignore any negative reviews as they were surely from improper use.

My hair is more of a dirty blonde, but as the summer is coming around I love having lighter hair. When I saw this product I was immediately enticed by the platinum colour that was shown on the box. I was excited to have that icy blonde hair that the model was sporting. The product itself was very straightforward; I appreciated the already portioned out parts that I just had to add and shake. The bottle came with a pointed tip attachment that made it easy for application (I used a bowl and a brush that I purchased separately). Gloves were included in the box and I was very grateful for that, bleach can be very rough on your skin and you are guaranteed to do that during this process. Rinsed it out after 20 minutes, it was much more yellow due to the mixture. I was hoping that the purple conditioner would help however it didn't seem to do much to curb the yellow hue. If you were looking for more of an icy blonde I highly recommend investing in a purple shampoo. I often leave mine in my hair for 5-10 minutes, and after a week it has definitely helped reduce the yellow from this product. Overall, I'm happy with the product. For the cost this was a really good product with everything included. After some personal products my hair has become the colour I was looking forward to! Definitely a must-try if you are going to try doing your hair at home.

My hair became very yellow after applying this color even though it was rounded to be platinum. Never use this hair color! It gives really terrible results …
