A must have tool for hurricane preparedness!
This was purchased to assist in removing/ loosening hurricane screws to install hurricane shutters. The flat head works great even on those screws that the house painters have put many coats of paint on. Tightening is just as easy..

Awsome bit
This bit fits great on my hurricane shutters bolts and eliminated stripping the bolts.

It worked well
I used this tool to finish installing a security screen door, held in place with one-way screws. The tool supplied by the door manufacturer was flimsy, and didn't even install 1/3 of the bolts. Considering my experience with the supplied tool, I bought two of these, just in case. The first one did the job well, showing no damage to it, after I was done..

I used this to install one-way security screws for a Grisham Spear Point Window Bar Guard
I couldn't find a tool to drive the security screws that came with the Grisham mounts into my window frame. The heads of the screws are similar to those found here on Amazon that are made by the Hillman Group 230373 Heat-Treated One-Way Lag Screw 5/16" x 4". There's a large gap between sides of the screws, which the bar of this tool fit. The cover is spring loaded so even though the diameter of the screw head was slightly larger - I just had to put enough pressure on the head the get the screws to go in. I used a right angle adapter in my hammer drill. It wasn't a smooth process but I managed to get all four screws seated to mount the window guard. The screws I had were painted white - so afterwards I touched up the paint where the tools sometimes slipped and removed paint from the heads of the screws. The biggest issue I had was that this tool would sometimes slip out of the right angle adapter - and I'd have to put it in again. If you're just driving security screws in without anything getting in the way then the tool you work exceptionally well just inserted directly into your hammer drill. Hope this is helpful for someone trying to find a tool to use for a security screw or lag bolt.

Not exactly as I hoped
Doesn’t fit what I had hoped for. Hurricane shutter screws. Better off buying an ecx head.

Misleading product photos show OPPOSITE of how it's used
This product works the OPPOSITE of how it's shown in the photos, the screwdriver bit head is always inside the metal collar unless there's pressure pushing it out.

If your bolts have both flat and phillips, consider using the phillips
These worked great, hence the five stars, but the flat seems to slip even though it has the sprung centering device. I haven't had to install a bunch of panels yet, but the screws on my house have both flat and Phillips. I'll probably end up using a regular Phillips bit if there's a hurricane.
