This book is very informative. After reading and practicing Haines' book I have much admiration for her method however it is a bit too "free" for me!

Jean Haines is a master artist and instructor of watercolor.
This book by Jean Haines, along with the others, are amazing. Her approach to instruct and inspire is like no other. At first glance Jean Haines' work as a step by step may appear intimidating, but her confidence in you as a painter pushes one forward. The book touches on so many things other than capturing light. There are tips and words of inspiration. I read her books through, study what she is teaching then work through the tutorials I want. If you like this loose and atmospheric style of watercolor, this and all her books are a must.

Lovely
I'm only half way through so far but I'm really enjoying this book. I think this will certainly help me loosen up my watercolour technique. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend to others who are interested on this loose style of painting.

Great
I have a few of Haines watercolor books. Very interesting although I don't think these are good for beginner watercolor artists. Definitely intermediate level or higher.
