Highly recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Update to changes *by D***E on July 28, 2022* So, based on the mostly positive reviews I decided to give these a try. I even went above and beyond to prepare my car, as I had the engine compartment professionally cleaned to get rid of any trace of prior rodent activity. I placed one of these in the engine compartment using the ties, and the other sits in the cubby near the gear shift. For the first couple of months, I didn’t see any activity. However, one day I am driving and my odometer stops working. Then the check engine light comes on followed by the steering indicator light. And about the same time I lose power steering. Took it to our mechanic and sure enough, rodents had chewed through several wires causing the problem. Fortunately it only cost $270.00 to fix. I say fortunately, because our Toyota Corolla had $2,500.00 in rodent damage about seven years prior. Needless to say, these Ultrasonic Rat Repellants didn’t do jack! 8/23/22 I have an update and in turn, I am raising my rating. So, after they didn't work as described, I decided to try them with the sound on (in Test mode). And guess what? After 3 weeks of parking it in the same spot, they did not eat the wires again. In fact, I see no evidence of them being in the engine compartment since the last episode. I will continue to use them with the sound on.
