It works. Very strong peppermint smell.
Worked well on kitchen ants, but it is not just a repellant. Killed on contact. To really stop the army we found holes on the outside of the house and sprayed another Amazon product there. It was also a plant based non poison to humans or, supposedly, critters. We live in the woods and try hard to not use poisons.

This literally saved my life!
My fridge broke and over the weekend my landlord replaced it with a fridge that turned out to be infested with roaches! I have a service animal and the landlord's pest control company couldn't guarantee their chemicals were pet-safe. This was recommended to me by a friend. With no choice but to declare war on these kitchen infiltrators, I ordered a bottle at 6am while getting ready for work and I got SAME DAY delivery! I went home and with my battle plans laid out, and launched a ground attack at nightfall. The enemy roaches were quick to respond, sending out their fiercest and biggest soldiers at speeds only witnessed by the gods above! I sprayed every inch of Fort Kitchen, whereupon dozens of roaches met their rightful deaths, quickly and painfully, as I screamed at the top of my lungs and ran into the frontlines of battle, valiantly defending that which is my sacred home! Some say the battle lasted days, others say it lasted minutes. At the end of it all, as the peppermint mist cleared on the horizon of Mt. Trashcan, the casualties of war were made known to all. Dozens upon dozens of carcasses, belly-up in defeat... One fierce general escaped and retreated to higher ground in attempts to launch a sneak attack on Makeup Mountain in Fort Bathroom. My troops attacker with even greater ferocity, fresh off our victorous kills, and General Giant Roach was easily captured in the prison cell of Nearby Padded Envelope, whereupon he was unsuccessfully interrogated in a language of screams only the neighbour's dog could understand, before he was ultimately sentenced to a swift but humane death. The battles were tough and troops were weary as the night turned to dawn. But as the sun rose this morning, a clear message had been sent to all nearby rebels: Mighty Mint is an impenetrable force and if you ever find yourself under attack, you WILL come out victorious... And maaaaybe a little emotionally traumatized. But with the affordability of this product, you can still easily cover the cost of therapy. Also, my entire house smells like that chocolate peppermint patties. And who doesn't love to literally be able to smell their own victory? ;)

Good value for a lot of peppermint oil
First, this is not a bug KILLER, and it does not claim to be. It is a bug REPELLENT. I don't actually know how well peppermint works as a bug repellent because the smell doesn't linger long and I'm perpetually forgetting to apply it, but science says bugs do dislike the smell, and this is a large quantity of peppermint oil for a fairly nice price. Use it as an essential oil and it can be the same price for a tiny bottle -_- What I do like about this is it's easy to use and does make the apartment smell nice. My roommate also has a sensitivity to chemicals, so this is a natural way for dealing with bugs that doesn't make her sick. AS LONG AS YOU DON'T OVERUSE IT. Which is the reason for the one star off. Other reviews claimed the peppermint smell makes them feel sick. I love peppermint and sometimes use peppermint essential oils in a defuser. But I sprayed all the windows liberally in my apartment and then had to detox because too much does leave an overwhelming aroma in the air.

Bugs Be Gone!
I have been using this spray on my patio and around the outside patio window and screen. I really like the product. I’ve killed many stink bugs and the other bugs that arrived here recently. I just don’t like bugs in my living space, so since I can’t stand to kill them myself, I spray them til they’re gone. This spray works even if I just get a little on them. I really don’t like that it kills them slowly but there are so many I won’t go on Patio so I spray through the screen once they get close. I’ve sprayed so much that they don’t come on my patio like before. Guess they can smell the spray so they go elsewhere. Not too keen on the smell so I close window. If you want to get a good product, choose this Mighty Mint Peppermint oil Spray cause it really works. I’d buy again. Spray them good so they don’t suffer, ok.

It works INSTANTLY!!!.
I've gotten so tired of products not living up to what is advertised, I stopped leaving reviews so when this one blew my mind, I had to take the time. I purchased smaller bottles twice. If you think you may need to purchase a decent amount, get the bigger one first. The spray attachment is worth it and the price is much better as you go up in size. It kills insects....fast and the mint smell is almost pleasant. It works really well on crickets. We have a ton in PA and my son moved downstairs and can hear them chirp all night. He just needs a general direction of where it is coming from and once he sprays a few times, they go quiet. If you spray directly on one, it dies in seconds. This product was life changing!!

Decent deterrent but won’t cure an infestation.
I live in a suburb near woods and a swamp so I get a lot of pests. I’ve used this product for a variety of insect and rodent problems and my overall verdict is this: it’s decent at both but it’s too weak to deal with a serious problem. Here are my personal experiences with each pest I’ve used it on: Mice - this stuff definitely seems to deter mice but if they’ve already set up camp in your home, it won’t agitate them enough to leave permanently. I sprayed an area where I spotted a mouse come into my room, and I saw with my own eyes the mouse run in, and then immediately turn around and run out. Sadly though, even after making my house reek with the smell of mint for a few days, the mice never completely left and the problem wasn’t dealt with until we zapped them with a kill trap. Take it from me as someone who wasted over $200 on every scent and sound deterrent I could find: they don’t work if the mice have their heart set on your home. No scent stinks enough and no sound is agitating enough to make them give up easy food and shelter. If you have a mouse problem this will potentially help give you something to fight back with, but don’t rely solely on this alone to solve the problem, back it up with some traps. If you go for a Live Trap, you have to take the mouse over a mile away or it’ll just come right back (especially if you didn’t seal all entry points) if you go for a Kill Trap but you’re squeamish like me at the thought of handling rodent corpses, go for an electric one; they’re a bit pricey but the light indicator lights up to let you know when it gets a kill so all you need to do is pick up the trap and dump the mouse in the trash, you don’t have to touch or look at it. Ants - ants DO NOT care and were the least affected out of all the pests I tested this on. At best they’ll stay away for a moment but will be back in full force the moment the scent dies down, or they’ll just change routes undeterred. We had a really bad ant infestation where they were crawling all over the house, in the cabinets, in our beds, everywhere. This stuff did virtually nothing to help the problem. We eventually won the battle by spraying Raid on several of their trails and placing several Raid Ant Baits around key areas but mint doesn’t seem to do as much to stop ants as people claim, at least not for a problem as serious as the one we had. If you’re dealing with an ant problem I can’t overstate how important it is to get good ant baits, because until you kill the queens their numbers will simply never end. Spiders - spiders won’t like this but again, it’s not going to help with even a mild infestation where they’ve already gotten cozy in your home. I tried to use this to get rid of several dozen Cellar Spiders in our basement and it didn’t produce the results I would have liked. More often than not, the spiders would be right back in the areas I sprayed the next day. I found Ortho Home Defense to be more effective at both deterring and killing them, and it has since become my “go to” for dealing with most bugs. Squirrels - We had a couple of squirrels tear into our attic recently and I furiously blasted the last of my mint spray up there in retaliation. To its credit it did seem to cause them to flee for a day, but they were determined to make our attic their home, and came back the very next day when the scent died down. We ended up blasting loud music and threw the last of my essential oils up there to get them out again and then sealed up the entrances. If you loaded this stuff into a water gun and fired it at some squirrels or groundhogs invading your bird feeder or garden, that might be an effective, non-lethal way to help stop them, but like the mice they’ll probably be more stubborn if you’re specifically trying to dislodge them from nesting in or around your home, in which case you’ll likely need an alternative. Flies, Gnats, Moths, Mosquitoes and Crane Flies - As far as insects go, this category seems to be what this stuff is most effective against. Mosquitoes and Crane flies were getting into my house through the Air Conditioner during the summer so I repeatedly sprayed the back end of my AC outside and it seemed to help when regularly reapplied. Bear in mind though I wasn’t dealing with an infestation with this group like the other insects, just discouraging some wanderers from getting near my AC. If you have an especially bad problem with this category of dusk/night pests, some sticky blue light traps would probably be a better alternative for indoors and a bug zapper would probably be better outdoors, especially when combined with an outlet timer. Despite my rating, I like Mighty Mint and appreciate it as a decent, all-purpose pest control spray, but the price tag combined with my mixed results compels me to give it a moderate 3 stars. It’s best use in my opinion is as a holistic, preemptive deterrent if you don’t mind reapplying it regularly (at least once a day) and is especially effective against rodents, but it won’t singlehandedly save you from an infestation and there are better alternatives for insects.

BEWARE - NOT SAFE FOR CATS!
Works great and smells great but NOT SAFE FOR CATS!!! Beware- Peppermint Oil is Highly TOXIC to cats! They need to change their label as it clearly states that it’s safe for cats. But even when searching their product info it states not safe for cats. Kills those tiny pesky kitchen ants instantly. Used for several days repeatedly and then finally seemed to fix the problem. Highly recommend as long as you don’t have cats!

Annoys insects, doesn't really repel them
My second time purchasing this product. I use it on our screened porch to deter insects. The first bottle I bought the spray nozzle broke right away. Transferred the contents into another spray container. It has a nice peppermint scent and is supposedly safe around dogs. I don't spray it near them, just around the screen door edges and interior porch ledges. I will say it doesn't really last more than 24 hours. It also doesn't seem to kill any insects, just annoy them. I've used it directly on a carpenter bee, Joro spider, ant, stink bug and a housefly. (I live in the deep South; it is buggy here). The insects didn't like it and would run off (they did return later) except for the carpenter bee that kept on trying to bore into the wood despite my soaking the bee and the wood. It does seem to deter mosquitoes but does not repel them as you will still get bit. Not sure I would buy it again, especially at this price. The porch smells nice.

WORKS LIKE MAGIC
Do not hesitate to buy this! It works better than pest control. I just sprayed it in the corners of the walls. It has a strong mint scent, the whole house smells like mint gum, the smell goes down in the next days. I didn’t see a single insect after spraying! Its perfect
