Ultra XTR 32 ft x 16 ft 52 in Above Ground Pool Set, Rectangular Swimming Pool with Sand Pump, Saltwater System, Maintenance Kit, & Volleyball Game

I bought this pool in April 2020. It lasted us through 6 seasons of Florida hot weather. We just took it down last month. I am very impressed with the quality and strength of the liner. I cannot believe that it lasted this long especially given that it was in full sun the entire time. We kept the pool running year long by keeping up with the cleaning and running the pump and the chlorinator, but reducing the time. The main things that required changing over time, were the hoses, the skimmer, and the titanium electrode in the chlorinator (if you get the pool and pump combo like we did). We ended up upgrading our stairs to something bigger, but that was just a preference. Looking back now, I prefer the stairs that came with the pool since they are much easier to maintain and do not collect algae since they can be accesses easily to be cleaned. I highly recommend putting pavers under the U-shaped legs when installing the pool. We got the large 18 inch paver squares and put one under each leg. It helped tremendously prevent any rusting of the legs. In addition is helps the legs from sinking into the ground. The legs have a lot of pressure when pool is filled so the pavers kept them level and stable. I also kept the pump and chlorinator covered the entire time to protect from the elements and mostly the heat. I put a folding table over it and put a cover on the table. This was a make-shift shelter but it helped keep it covered and at the same time it gave me easy access to the pump and chlorinator. I used the top of the table to store some our floats and other pool items. So I do recommend finding some type of cover to put over the pump to protect it. Lastly I do recommend investing in a robotic type pool cleaner. I tried the manual vacuum that came with the pool and it worked fine, but it takes a while to clean the entire pool that way and it was not easy to reach all spots.

I'll start with the positive. This pool is GREAT! It is well made, well designed, strong, attractive in the yard, and a little deceiving (in a good way). Know that there were some problems - with ordering and delivery, but after contacting Amazon those were resolved. Once delivery was made the shipper went above and beyond to make for a pleasant experience. After reading all the reviews on this product I was concerned about the size of the box and when the delivery date slipped those hired were unavailable. Ours came in two boxes, refrigerator sized, that required a heavy duty dolly (it was on the delivery truck). By the time the pool came the yard had already been prepared: sod removed, area raked, leveled (as best that we could), sand brought in, and to ensure success in this endeavor, we invested in a strong tarp and plywood that we placed the sand on top of. Once the pool came we put the tarp that came with it on top of the sand. May seem unnecessary but it made us feel better. We laid out the pool parts and started assembling them. It took four of us three plus hours to unpack, lay out the pool liner, connect the frame, lay out the 12X12" cement pavers, adjust then readjust them, kick out the wrinkles of the liner and assemble the pool ladder. It was a sunny hot day so we opted to assemble and connect the pump and filter the next day. That was a good decision because our team was reduced to two and the directions left much to be desired. Especially concerning was the third hole on the liner. What it was for? And it took quite some time to even find a picture of the fully assembled pump and filter for this exact model. Luckily for us we have an engineer in the family who came over and assembled both in less than an hour! We started putting water in the pool and reached the required level three days later, not running consistently, but in 8 hour increments. The bend in the side frames are harrowing to watch. The end frames were straight and sturdy but the side ones made us feel like we were destined for failure. That's what I meant about it being a little deceiving. Amazingly, when you reach the proper water level the side frames significantly straighten. At least as much as can be hoped for when you know you may be a tad or more off on your ground being completely level. We researched, planned, hired help, then family helped. But, talk about a labor of love! The kids are so happy, and truthfully, so are the adults. We all are so very glad that we took the plunge and bought this pool. If you are thinking about buying one, you won't regret it. Now hopefully we will master the care and enjoy this pool for many years to come. Thanks to God, Amazon and Intex.

Love the pool! Great size for parties. 4' deep when filled. Comes with more accessories than we thought it would. Not a fan of the ladder. It's great for teens and kids, but if you get full-sized people using it, it is a little wobbly and very narrow. Hubby is building steps and platform for outside and we found many options for plastic steps for in the pool. I took off 1 star for the ladder, but would only remove 1/2 a star if that were an option. Easy to set up with help. We had 3, but you could do it with 2. 3 really is ideal. If you watch YouTube reviews on it, the side don't completely straighten until the final few inches of filling. That's NORMAL. We have low water pressure so it too 3 days to fill.

We purchased this pull April 2022. The salt cell system failed June 2022. Intex sent a replacement part but it was the wrong part, so I had to wait for the 2nd replacement. This put me not getting the pool back up until the end of August - so in the first year, my family got about 2 months of swim time with it. The next year 2023, we got it up about June again and then the pump failed again in August. Intex provided the replacement, but it was nearly a 2 month delay due to being backordered, so we didn't get the replacement pump in until the end of October which it was too cold to swim - so we got about 2 months of swim time the 2nd year. This year we got it up and running again in June ... now the pump fails in July - we had 30 days of run / swim time. Now, Intex said they won't warranty the part because my first order is more than 2 years ago - even though the new pump is only 30 days old. They said "I'm sorry, but this is our policy." then they proceeded to provide me with a part number to buy a new pump/unit. After I asked for an exception to their policy, they said no and hung up on me. This product is garbage and the customer service is worse. I refuse to buy another Intex part EVER and I encourage you to look elsewhere too. If intex is reading this, and you want to make it right, here are my claim numbers: 77915, 783686, 841687... I didn't get the latest claim number from today, but I hope you can figure this out.

I have never had a pool and heard they are a PITA. And that has been true...LOL. But I expected that. First off, absolutely, definitely, without question...dig out and LEVEL your ground. Rent a transit. I had 2" of sand added after the ground was leveled. Not sure I would do that again. They had to walk on the sand and move the liner around during installation so the bottom is a little lumpy...not bad but not smooth. When putting your leg supports in (I used 16x16 pavers) ensure the top of them are level with the ground. Level side to side/front to back. Use a large level to make sure they are level with the pavers on the left and right of them. I have one that is about 1" lower and it bugs the crap out of me. The top rail with should be a straight line dips down there. I tried to tell the men but I am just a woman so they knew better.... Make sure the legs are centered on the pavers. As it fills you will go around and pull them out further. This helps pull out wrinkles. You must continue doing this every hour or so until you can no longer move them because of the weight of the water. I ended up with only 1 small wrinkle on the bottom. The sides will sag HORRIBLY and you will freak out and think you did it wrong! They won't really straighten until it is a few inches from the top. No matter how many times you read this from multiple people you WILL freak out. The skimmer is a piece of crap. Go ahead and get a through the wall skimmer if you feel comfortable installing it yourself. I will do this next year. Installation looks pretty straight forward. Make sure you use pool sand. Or even better Pool filter balls. The sand filter particles as small as 20 microns, the filter balls as small as 5 microns. It takes time to get your water right. Most pool stores will test your water free and will be glad to sell you pricey chemicals. Just a tip...to reduce alkalinity buy a $6 bottle of muriatic acid. Online calculators will tell you how much to use based on our levels. Regular old bleach mixed in a bucket of water is way cheaper than pool shock. Good luck!

I watched all the videos and reviews on this pool for about 4 months. So I want to add some bullet points to this pool: - 2 hours to level the ground. Brought in Sand and made sure we have a level ground, but nothing perfect. - 3 hours to put the pool up. Me and my 100lb fiance accomplished this task and unpacking everything from all the boxes takes a lot of time. It was tough because the pool liner is heavy. I wish we had spend a little bit of time to pull every wrinkle out. Be sure where the tarp is laid is where you want the pool, there is no going back to move it unless you have an army. Be sure you have a dolly for this job, i bought one and it was the best thing to buy for this job. One thing to note, I thought Intex sent me the wrong corner poles because they are much smaller than the other poles, but that is just how they are, they need to move. I was pretty upset until I watched other videos and noticed thats just how they are. - 2 hours to hook up the pool filter, salt water and connect the hoses. You will need about 120 lbs of sand to put in the filter(sold at home depot and says pool filter sand). You will need about 8 bags of salt (sold at walmart and says pool salt) to start. You will need about 3lbs of water stabilizer (cyanuric acid sold at Walmart) to start. You will need a pool water test kit, the pool comes with test strips but eventually you will want to upgrade. - The pool took about 3days to fill up. Changed my hose for better output of water. I did not water at night because I was always pulling the legs to make sure they were out. I put 1 inch bricks on the legs (not level to the ground) on the most inner side of the brick. By the time the pool filled up, the legs kicked to the middle of the brick. The rails will dip until the pool is 100% filled, my right side still has a slight bend, but over time I know the ground is soft and the bricks will sink. Over all I am happy right now with this pool and excited for summer to come now. The pool is BIG. I like how Intex sends you mostly everything you will need to get this pool started and running. The pool is a lot of work to setup and maintain, but the benefit of having a very large pool will pay off. After summer I plan on taking it down and storing, so maybe i can write a review on how that goes.

One month in, and I’m finally writing this review so I didn’t jinx anything. Spoiler: I LOVE this pool. It’s massive. Like, 2 grown adults floating in donut tubes and 5 kids doing cannonballs without WWIII breaking out. That kind of massive. Let’s talk setup: 4.5 hours of sweating through our souls in the Texas heat with two grown men, myself, and a couple of teens. It’s a group effort and a workout, so hydrate and maybe avoid high noon. If I could do it again, I’d powder those poles like a baby’s bottom before sliding them into 32” of blazing hot rubber. Trust me. The ladder got a bad rap in other reviews, but ours has been solid—tighten everything well, and it holds up just fine. As for the base, we used concrete pavers which all cracked within a month. Wood blocks are next. Live and learn. Went with the saltwater version—definitely Google the salt chart and grab your supplies ahead of time. But seriously, no complaints. The new design means no more liner wrestling, and the kids have been happily waterlogged ever since. Would buy again 100%
