I needed this to add to my Pinguicula soil mix. The "Pings" are Mexican Butterworts which are a Carnivorous plant that grows in a sandy rocky soil in Mexico. The pumice makes the soil more like the soil they're found in.

The stuff is really good. There’s no dust because it’s little rock chunks. It worked really good, especially with picky plants. It helps keep an even level of moisture. Especially if you tend to overwater things like me, it will help to absorb that. I will definitely buy these again. Especially because big box stores are always out of this stuff. It’s usually hard to find.

I add orchid, bark and pumice to my potting soil to ensure adequate drainage. The pumice is pricier than perlite, but unlike the perlite , it stays within the soil and does not rise to the top and present an unattractive appearance at the base of the plant.

I use this as an addition to my soil recipe for all my plants from tropicals to cactus and succulents. It provides great drainage and helps add air to the soil. There isn't any dust with this pumice which is nice. I like the size of the individual pieces, they're close to the size of pea gravel.

This small sized pumice was exactly what I needed for my homemade aroid soil mix. It’s pricey but more affordable than other pumice that I’ve found.

Good grain size for cacti soil additive. Yellows if used as a top dressing, better for in situ
