Works and looks so much better than I had expected. I bought this as a fill-in when I had surgery and was not allowed to wash my hair for 12 days. I researched a variety of products available, and chose the Ambience Dry Shampoo with the Applicator Brush for several reasons: 1. better control with the brush rather than a spray, to keep product away from the surgery site; and 2. I liked the mostly natural ingredients. Although I have gray hair now, I thought the sparkle might be fun at a time when not much else was. This is the first dry shampoo I have ever used, and did not expect a lot. This has worked amazingly well. It does absorb oil, gives the hair a little lift and body, and the sparkle is very subtle, giving just a bit of shine. The applicator brush was very easy to use. The blonde color worked fine with gray hair. The results definitely perked up my mood while waiting until I could wash my hair for real again. I enthusiastically recommend this product for anyone who, for any reason, needs a dry shampoo. Five stars.

This stuff works great when you are in a pinch and don't have time to wash your hair. I have fine hair so even when my hair is clean, I like to use the Ambiance to give my hair some body. The smell is really pleasant and the color keeps it from looking like I just powdered my hair. I use the blonde and I don't have any issues with it making a mess. My daughter uses the brown and I am more careful with it so I don't get it on her clothes or on the sink.

This is a great product that blends in with the color of your hair and works very well to soak up that extra greasiness in your hair to look fresh! Easy to apply with brush applicator!

I loved the product and used it down to where I started to run out. I thought, "oh that's right it came with a refill, amazing!" NOT amazing. The bottom of the brush does NOT unscrew. Tried it several times. Husband tried it. Unless you want to crack it open, there's no way to open the bottom where the powder is held and refill it with the refill. So whats the point of selling them both!? Annoying and will not buy again.

I am really happy with this product. I fancy myself a hair powder connoisseur since I've pretty much tried them all (and have about 5 types in rotation at any given time). To date this is the best blonde powder I've found. It doesn't have the absorbing power of some of the more intense white powders, but it does the job while leaving your hair with a less dusted look. The powder itself if a little shimmery which gives your roots a natural look instead of dulling them.

I used to always use the Batiste Dry Shampoo, Light and Blonde, but the price of this has rocketed for some reason & it never lasts that long, so I thought I would pay a little more and invest in something that may last longer. Easy to apply and coverage is really good, there is very little scent and I certainly don't find it offensive in any way. The main negative for me was how awful it made my hair feel, the Batiste spray would make it feel very soft and light, however this product makes it feel very dry, brittle and stiff. If it wasn't for this, I would definitely purchase this product again.

Every three weeks the week before I color my hair golden blonde I use this on my part the back of my head a little bit and the sides of my hair next to my face. It covers perfectly doesn’t look fake and I’m good for another day or two until I color again

This Ambiance Dry Shampoo is the best dry shampoo I've tried to date. And I've tried many, from Rene Fuerterer and Orlando Pita to Klorane and numerous less expensive drug store brands. Ambiance has beaten them all. What I like best about it is that it does not leave a dull finish on my hair and the fullness it imparts looks natural. I got the blonde and it's a good match for me and it adds a soft sheen, something I think is very difficult to get with a dry shampoo. The blonde shade has a pearlescent tone, but it's not glittery; it's just enough to put a little shine on. The only negative - but only deserving of a half-star less in my 5-star rating - is the applicator. It can be a bit messy until you get used to how to control the dispensing of the powder, and the brush could be a bit stiffer, but this is a small issue compared to the really great product inside. I try scads of hair products and am usually not impressed because I have difficult hair: fine, porous, aging hair that lacks volume & shine, so I rarely repurchase product lines because they don't perform to my expectations. I will be buying Ambiance again and again. Thank you Amazon for introducing me to this item.

Eine wunderbare Alternative zum herkömmlichen Trockenshampoo. Kaschiert auch den dunklen Ansatz und graue Haare. Ein wunderschöner leicht schimmernder goldblondfarbener Ton. Ich mags :)

Great dry shampoo that has no nasty additives and adds volume which is good if you have fine hair like myself.

It does cover up my roots and gets rid of oil but it also looks a little synthetic. On days that I have bad hair/roots it definitely makes it better. I won’t use it often but it’s good to have for those bad hair days. Also I use my own brush to apply as when I try use the brush supplied too much comes out. Would recommend for ppl like me with roots.

Great product, does the job well

I prefer other dry shampoos to this one. Most dry shampoos tend to make my scalp itch by the end of the day & I have to shampoo my hair the night that I use the dry shampoo in the morning - usually because of the talc used. This one did the same. I got the Ambiance Dry Shampoo simply because it had a bit of colour & I thought it'd be interesting to "lift" the greasy hair with a bit of colour. It's a very gold (almost glittery) shade of blond - which is fine & nice. But I found the brush a little bit tricky to use to apply - I got gobs of colour in some spots. I think this was due to my very light naturally blond (i.e. platinum) hair and the goldish tone of the dry shampoo. So, if you've got a more golden-y, sunkissed blond this would look amazing. Other dry shampoos that are aerosol sprays work far easier for me so I doubt I'd get it again.
