Review: Great Product; Great Price - This product is a great substitute for people who have a sensitivity to medipore tape. It can secure absorbent dressings to wounds and has a similar hold to medipore take but is easier to put on and much more gentle to remove. I've tried quite a few different brands of island dressings and while this can still cause some irritation it is by far the most gentle I've found for my skin that is still light, breathable, and holds well.
Review: As good as bandages used by my surgeon for a MOHs surgical wound. - These are as good as the Island surgical bandages my surgeon used. They provide great coverage, protect the wound while allowing air to circulate to aid in healing. There are 50 individual bandages in the box of 2" X 3 3/4 size bandages. The size is just right for a MOHs skin cancer surgery on my shin. They are so much nicer than OTC bandages, which were not quite large enough to cover a small surgical wound and either did not stick well or were painful to remove. Removing them is nearly painless, yet they stick well around the wound. So happy I found these on desertcart. They were delivered by desertcart quickly and arrived in pristine condition.

A: The 4" x 4"  Island Dressing has a 2' X 2" pad.  I actually measured it; not a SWAG.

A: There is about and inch or inch and a half round the gauze pad. Probably 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 or 5x5. Plenty of room for a full size gauze pad

A: The gauze pad, excluding the surrounding tape, is 2 in X 2 in.

**Q: What is the thickness of the foam pad? I'm looking for something at least 5 mm thick, thanks.**
A: It’s not that thick but it protects well. I fell and messed up my arm. Scrapped the skin off! This worked great at protecting that wound.

These are as good as the Island surgical bandages my surgeon used. They provide great coverage, protect the wound while allowing air to circulate to aid in healing. I ordered size 4X4 but received 6X6. I'm keeping it and ordered another 4X4. 6X6 is useful but sometimes too large. This is the breathable variant and is better at the later stages of healing. Would give it a higher rating had Amazon sent me the correct size.
