Sonic-Fusion Professional Flossing, Electric Toothbrush & Water Flosser Combo in One, SF-02, White

I never had an electric toothbrush. It was recommended by my dentist that I look into this product since I am not a very good flosser. I am amazed at the power this little brush has. It took my awhile to get the hang of the flossing feature. There were many messes on the mirror at first until I remembered to keep my mouth closed around the brush. I also have to remember that I don't have to physically move the brush any more in order to get at my teeth during brushing. It does all the work. I feel as though my mouth feels cleaner. I floss at night to get the crap out and in the AM I brush and floss to rinse out all the nooks. I am thrilled with my purchase. I don't know if I will take it traveling. I'm not sure how much room it will take up regarding packing it. I have to wait and see on this.

I love this product. I wish I'd had one years ago. Lives up to all its claims: cleans my teeth better than manual brushing & flossing. The water-flossing didn't set off any pain or sensitivity around gumline recession, which was my biggest concern, and I had the water-power control knob set at 7 out of 10. It's my first time ever using an electric toothbrush or waterpik product, because I was skeptical about any added benefit. I stand corrected. It's easy, the white unit is compact and fits well on my vanity sink counter. I brushed and flossed twice the first time I used it, because it was the first time in years brushing was pleasant and felt good, not painful. I usually floss first then brush, and haven't yet tried to brush and floss at the same time. Only surprise is that the water reservoir has to be filled every time you floss. It only holds enough water for 60 seconds of flossing at higher pressure. I actually don't mind this, because I'd rather use fresh water each time anyway to keep the unit clean. I'm sold, and would highly recommend.

I bought this toothbrush from Amazon. IT DID NOT WORK. So I called Waterpik. They replaced it immediately free of charge. One of the best customer service experiences ever. This toothbrush itself is excellent. It is a much better toothbrush for me than the Oral B my dentist suggested. The Oral B bristles were too short to brush between my teeth, and it’s round head was too big to reach my back teeth. The toothbrush heads wore out quickly. My gums developed pockets. The water flossing feature of the Waterpik toothbrush is wonderfully effective. The water flow is as strong as that of my old Waterpik irrigator. Because this toothbrush cleans so thoroughly I feel certain that my dental health will improve now that I have tossed my Oral B. Thank you Waterpik!

My teeth are the cleanest they've been in years. The small size of the brush head allows it to fit in all the crevasses, and having a water pik with bristles makes it a better tool for flossing. The main selling point from the manufacturer is that you can floss and brush at the same time. I found running the brush and pik at the same time totally unworkable and ineffective. The obvious happens. The water jet rinses away toothpaste within seconds, way before 2 minutes of brushing time is over. Using the pic alone is kind of a sloppy process to begin with. Add a gob of toothpaste to the mix and there is no "kind of" about it. That said, brushing, then using the pic works really well. Gotta say, compare the price of a standalone electric toothbrush plus a standalone water pik to the cost of this combined unit. It is a pretty high premium to pay to gain back a little space on your bathroom counter.

Bought this particular unit because I travel overseas a lot and wanted something I could use with 110V-240V. I've only used it on 110V so far, but it's safe for up to 240V so will test it out on my next trip. Absolutely love that you can easily detach the toothbrush part from the base unit for travel. (The toothbrush still vibrates... you just can't use the waterpik feature unless it's connected to the base.) I went on a 5 day trip and used it at least twice a day without charging it the whole trip, and the battery to vibrate the toothbrush was still going strong. The only downside IMO is that the replacement heads are a bit more expensive than I expected... just under $25 for 2 heads that you're supposed to replace every 3 months. I likely will use mine a bit longer as long as it's still in good condition. (After a month of 2-3 times a day use, the head I have on there still looks new.) But the whole unit is so great, I still give it 5 stars overall. Absolutely love this sonic-fusion water-pik. Ideal for those of us who travel, particularly internationally where there are varying electricity voltages, and really anyone else who just wants an "all-in-one" electronic toothbrush and flosser. Definitely recommend!

SUPER Fantastic! I have both complete upper/lower dental implants and this is impeccable for keeping my mouth clean, fresh and free of problems with food getting lodged! Easy to use, intensity ranges from 1-10 (hint-I currently use 6-6 1/2 setting which is plenty strong to remove everything in between and underneath). You can use water or your favorite mouthwash to floss. Brushing is easy - you can choose to just brush your teeth, just floss or do both simultaneously! Little learning curve based on the shape of your jaw and how to exactly hold the angle of the brush to get the most effective cleaning. The only con for me is my outlet is to the left of the sink and I am right handed so I have to hold the hose aside or it hangs in the way of the water flowing from my mouth. Other than that...no complaints...worth every penny...easy...works well. EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE!!!

I'll leave my review of the version 1 Sonic-Fusion below. Although I only purchased the original Sonic-Fusion about a year ago, i found that it improved by quarterly periodontal visits dramatically. Now, with the release of version 2.0 which seemed to fix the issues I had with the original unit, I felt I had to upgrade. Somewhat extravagant based on the price but -- cost per use. I happy to report that the upgrade is real. The dramatic increase in brush vibration speed (even at the lower speed setting) and the larger brush head size team up to make this much closer to my previously beloved Sonicare toothbrush. Although I didn't see it stated, it also seems that the brush has stiffer bristles, an added plus. Perhaps just because my older versio had gotten such good use, the force of the waterpik even seems better for a given setting. Can't comment on longevity issues with the unit yet but I never had problems with my version 1. This is clearly the best dental cleaning system for me now. I'm not saying that this is better than a Sonicare with separate Waterpik and actual flossing, but for me, with my poor adherence to dentist advice, this has made me brush and Waterpik floss on a very regular basis and I'm certain my check-ups will be even better with this new system. Thanks for the improvements, Waterpik. Here's my old review of version 1: This could have been great. Unfortunately, the toothbrush action is quite poor and very loud. As a longtime user of Phillips Sonicare toothbrushes and Waterpic water flossers, I'd hoped this would be a great merger of the two, taking up less space, and, more importantly, enforcing my water flossing with each brushing -- something I've not been good at sticking to. This does that but Here are the reasons for the three star rating: Pros: - Does a great job of helping me keep up with my water flossing each time I brush - The water flossing is absolutely equivalent to my much larger, free-standing Waterpic model - The controls are easy to use and allow me to brush, then floss while brushing (and you can do the water flossing alone if desired) - The whole unit takes up less space on my bathroom counter than the Sonicare and the water flosser I used to have. Cons: - The toothbrushing aspect of this is definitely subpar compared to a Phillips Sonicare. - The action of the toothbrush is quite anemic compared to the Sonicare. - The bristles of the toothbrush are quite soft as well. - On top of this, when the toothbrush is turned on it is very noisy compared with the Sonicare - The fact that "sonic" is in the name of this product is, therefore, quite misleading. - One additional problem: the lights on the toothbrush that indicate state of charge are bright white LEDs. They brightly illuminate my bathroom at night and spill into my bedroom. No more dark bedroom at night since buying this. Despite the low rating, I plan to continue using this because of the increased convenience that combining the two systems gives me. It could have been perfect but, alas, is not.

Being used to using an electric Sonicare and a separate WaterPik, I thought to combine the 2. Well, it's taken some getting used to, but I do like the Waterpik Toothbrush & Water Flosser. I've a space between 2 teeth which devils me after eating. Flossing doesn't work competently, a water pik helps. This model has a weaker jet of water & a weaker brush action than what I was using. HOWEVER, after using for several weeks and discovering you cannot put toothpaste on the brush expecting to floss & brush simultaneously. The toothpaste is blown off the brush. SO, I floss with warm water . . stop . . add toothpaste . .brush w/o flossing . . then crank up the floss while brushing. THIS WORKS! Have I discarded my other electric brush . . .ummm, no. It has a sterilizer for the brush. NOT giving that up! So, I sterilize both brushes daily. Tried packing this for travel . . .not for me.
