Is there a clip on tuner that works best with this?

I never found one that I could really clip on. I have had to use a plug-in tuner.

Do the 2 screws hold the tuning keys to body hold up under the constant string tension and whatever else threatens to rip them out of the body?

I've been watching them. They seem pretty solid. No sign of loosening.

What are best strings for this bass?

If you like a bright sound, it already comes with D'Addario EXL165 Nickel Wound Bass Strings. I found it too bright with far too much buzzing and string noise without a lot of EQ and noise filtering. I switched them out to Thomastik-Infeld JF344 Long Scale Flat Wound strings, and I am much happier with the sound.

Is it true that this will fit in the overhead bin on an airplane? The description says yes, however it's longer than what the airline says. Thanks!

Yes it fits very easily in the overhead. I've travelled many times with it. Great little bass, but the tone coming out of it is not the best. Still great to have an instrument to keep my chops up on the road.
