This it a perfect solution for nano tanks, I use 2 packs in my evo 13.5 and will support more then enough bio load for my nano reef. There about the with of a nickle almost like a ball but not round if that makes sense and they seem to hold up well and not fall apart like other brands. Marine pure is definitely the way to go for this type of media

Great value if you can’t put as much live rock in your tank. Perfect for sump or Refugium bio media.

You need to be sure to wash them well to get out as much of the sediment as possible, but these work wonders to help give bacteria a home in your aquarium. I pulled out the trash sponge from one 5 gallon aquarium and replaced it with a little zipper bag of these and dosed the aquarium with bacteria. After dealing with really unstable water for a month these leveled everything off and now we're only changing water twice a month. Stop reading and buy these now. You won't be disappointed.

I throw these in at the bottom of my fish tank. A little trick I learned from a fish store. They help keep the water pure and they last for years! Definitely worth the buy!

I know cermedia products, use it in all of my tanks and on my koi pond. Great product, works well, sometimes you get some break down. I ordered these thinking my filter has some gaps with the spheres and I could fill them in. I knew these were smaller, but not this small and this few. This is a literal handful and at this price I would pass on it as it just won't go far. I could have just taken a block and cut a circle out of it to fit the filter and been better off.

When you wash the gems for the first time it shows that there is a little dust on them which is normal. Sinking them in water in 48 hours before use and there was not any more dust, change in color etc. Now they are a part of the filter and believing me or not, just after 48 hours you see the positive results.
