easy dust collection
I added dust collection for my palm router. It uses the 58mm port, which works perfectly with the rockler dust right hose and the 1.5" fitting slipped over it. I keep this dust port and the rockler hose fitting attached to my router permanently now. Love it.

Another Marginal Makita Product
It very hard to get it installed. Not much thought when into the devices design. Seem like Makita does any dust collection parts as an afterthought. Once you get it installed it works great, not particularly ergometric, a little clunky with the huge tube which connects it to the vacuum hose. I'm using it to route drywall openings, and it gets every drop of dust-it's just not that easy, which is partly the problem with the crappy vacuum hoses that come with even the nicer vacuums.

Fits BAUER compact router! With slight trimming.
Purchased this specific since there was 1 review that stated it fits a bauer router. And so it did per the description they gave of doing some slight trimming. You can see in the pictures I added what I tried to make ot fit. The screw hole lines uo and accepts a m3 screw. Now I won't have dust flying everywhere while using my router. Hope these pictures help someone out with the bauer compact router !!!!

Works Great
This dust collector for my Makita Compact Router worked perfectly for my limited use. I the router to put grooves in my shelving boards so my shelves would be secure. I counter sank them 5 mm in 17mm wide glued edge pine. The dust collection was a game changer!

Suck the sawdust from your Makita LXT router, a must have!
The Makita LXT 18V router needs this cover for easy dust extraction. Hook up a shop vacuum and you won't be eating sawdust while you work! A must have!

A Much needed accessory.
I usually route on a router table with an exhaust port and was amazed at the fine dust and chips that covered my work area when I first used my router free hand. What a mess! This accessory is much needed and should probably be included in the initial router package but I am glad that I found one so easily. It works great and is easy to install although dragging the typical shop vac hose around is a pain in the neck. Someone really needs to manufacture a genuine FLEXIBLE shop vac hose that is lightweight.
