I have been using it for almost a year, I know where it goes in the case, it really just does not work any more!!

I've had mine under a month and it is totally worthless now.  It worked great at first, but now I can open doors, start my car etc.  If I can override the case, so can a theif.

Question 2

Does this protect against unlocking the car if a fob button is accidentally pressed? I have probs with this happening when the fob is in my pocket.

There are two pockets in each bag. One is gold lined and will stop all use of your fob while in this pocket, even if accidentally pressed. If you put it in the other pocket, it will not protect the fob.

Question 3

Why bother using it, if thieves can steal the signal once it's out, to start a car?

I keep it in the Faraday bag at home, so anyone driving by or casing the neighborhood can't hijack the signal.  I spend more of my time at home, so I felt it was worth it to keep the signal from broadcasting at home.  I could also put it in the bag once I park my car at a shopping center or store, but I don't.

Make sure you put the key fob in the correct part of the bag.

There are TWO compartments.  One is black fabric, the other is lined with a shiny silver threaded fabric.  It's that shiny silver threaded fabric that blocks radio signals.  If you put your key in the wrong part of the bag then it wont work.

I honestly feel that the manufacturer didn't do themselves any favors by putting two compartment in the bag when only one of them blocks radio signals.  My guess it that a lot of people don't read the instructions and didn't realize the radio signals are only blocked in one of the two compartments.
