Review: The best ratcheting screwdriver - If you are unsure of this brand PB Swiss it is a hidden gem that arguably makes the worlds best screwdrivers and bits. Yes it pricy but its seriously the Gucci of the tool world. They use the best tool steels and have the best heat treatment recipes for there tools. This is also one of the best ratcheting screwdrivers i have ever used, very little slop in the gears, smooth engagement pawl. If you use quality bits like PB, Wera or Whia, they will fit so well in the shank that it feels like a traditional screwdriver. I own both the long and short shank drivers.

Well, here it is. This is a premium high end tool with tight tolerances. It fits well in the hand and feels natural to use. Best in show. The handle is a great size and made of a premium hard rubber-like material, in a classic style shape. Feels great in the hand. Ratcheting function is smooth and sounds great... a subdued, blunt clicking. It is controlled by the black collar: Opposite twist to change direction and there is a lock function in the middle. It accepts standard 1/4th inch bits of your choosing. They connect by a strong magnet with no locking function beyond that. The lateral shaft wiggle/slop is the only very slight, excellent for a ratcheter. The rotational wiggle/slop is NONE whatsoever. It has a fair amount of resistance on the backspin. A little more than average. It functions like most other ratcheting drivers of good quality, but it definitely has the best craftsmanship. If you want a premium ratcheting driver, you've found it. many ratchets the switch is opposite the rotation**
A: Opposite.

if you twist the switch to the right, that puts the screwdriver into the unscrew counterclockwise position. 

If you twist the switch to the left, the screwdriver is now in the screw position, to install the screw.

**Q: What tool bits come with this Swiss screwdriver?**
A: No bits comes with it. I am using Vessel, Japan made bits. High quality and inexpensive.

A: The “insider pro” are the drivers that have the bit holders. The only red (Swiss grip) drivers that have the bit storage in the handle are the stubby drivers. The 100mm and 30mm do not have bit storage.
