Amazing product and fabulous customer service!
Our Avantree products have been a lifesaver for us. My partner is now 80 years old and has trouble hearing the TV even with his hearing aids. He used to have the volume up so high I could hear it outside the house and I'm sure the neighbors did too. I tried a couple of products but they weren't great. I found an Avantree system and I tried it. Perfect! This was probably 10 years ago and used wired headphones that plugged into a small receiver connected to the transmitter. A few years ago, I saw they had a wireless version and gave it a shot. My partner loved them. No wires to get tangled up in and the sound was excellent and also no delay in the sound transmission. The headphones are very light and earpads are so soft. He can and does wear them for hours at a time. He recently lost the sound in one side of his headphones. After checking them myself, indeed, one side had no sound.. I reached out to Avantree through the Amazon link and was contacted by Rosally through email. She had us ship the headphones back and within a few days we had new headphones. She kept us informed throughout the replacement process. Once again my partner is happy as a clam! I would highly recommend Avantree devices to anyone, either for issues hearing the TV or simply to watch TV late at night and not disturb the household. They are easy to set up and use and the sound is amazing for the price! This is now our third Avantree system and they keep getting better and better. Amazing products and their customer service is wonderful! G viets

The Best for TV
I'm now on my second Avantree product for TV watching/listening. I've used their Audition Pro for many (many!) years and it has served me exceptionally well. But, since the headband is completely worn out and I've gone through a few sets of ear pads, I decided it was time for a replacement. Rather than try for another Audition Pro (I don't think they even still make it) I opted for the HT5009 headset/transmitter package. Very easy to set up the transmitter (I'm using the optical connection with pass through to my sound bar), and the headphones pair quickly and reliably. The headset fits my head and ears as well as the old Audition Pro - very light and comfortable. Sound quality is excellent and I can set the equalization for voice or music listening with a toggle on the headset. The transmitter will support two headphones and will even pair with my old Audition Pro but it isn't a good solution as the voice/video are not perfectly in sync with that old headset. I guess if you want to use two headphones with the transmitter then stick with the headphone model they recommend. One caveat, if you integrate your sound bar and TV via HDMI then the transmitter may not be the best choice as it has to connect via headphone cable or optical connection. And your TV must be set to use PCM output. This is OK for me but might not be for you. All in all, this is a really great solution for TV listening for long after your partner heads off to bed or if you have trouble hearing the dialog on some TV shows. I've not had to use Avantree tech support but there are all sorts of ways to contact them if needed and I feel they will be standing by for my call or email. Highly recommended. UPDATE: I found out that, depending on your TV and sound bar, you can connect your TV to the sound bar via HDMI (allows the TV to turn on/off the sound bar, adjust volume, etc.) and still use the TV's optical output to drive the Avantree headphone transmitter. Still have to set the sound output to PCM (and not Dolby, etc.) but the sound quality is still great on my sound bar. And, since the Avantree transmitter has an optical splitter built in, I now have an optical cable running from the Avantree transmitter to my old low latency bluetooth transmitter that connects to my old Avantree Audition Pro headset. Voila! Both new and old Avantree headsets now connect perfectly so I'm set up for two listeners at once. Even more recommended now.

It is worth buying
This is a surprisingly good TV headphone set. I get clear sound even going 35 feet and through two walls. They are comfortable to wear for an evening's TV watching. The downside is do not expect good musical reproduction as these are meant for TV and do filter out a lot of the over modulation some programs have. The other problem is lack of volume control and switches that are hard to use. Very easy hook-up. Overall a 4.5 on my scale.

Excellent Headphones Very Comfortable
These are very comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. It could not have been easier to set up. I'd almost call it foolproof but you know there is always someone that cannot figure out plug one end into base and other end into TV. But it is exactly that easy. Take the base, plug one end of the optical cable into the base and other end into the TV. Connect power and done. That's it. There is 1 extra step if you use a sound bar but its pretty much the same. Connect Optical cable from TV to Base then connect another Optical cable from Base to Sound Bar. There, done. And the sound bar works as before. I'd give these headphones 4.8 stars if I could. They are nearly perfect for me with only a couple of.....not complaints but irritations. Irritation 1... Cannot use when charging. Now with 40 hours of battery life you would think that this would not be an issue but there is no battery light to tell you how much charge is left and I prefer to let electronics run all the way down before recharging. Yes I know the manufactures say batteries no longer build charge memories but they DO. My phone is a perfect example, I never used it for more than 2 hours before putting on the charger and now my battery only holds a 2 hour charge. So it would be nice that when the headphones run out of power, I could then just connect a charging cable and charge while using it. Just a minor irk but still. Irritation 2... I dislike the charging cover. I must always find a tool to pop the cover so I can connect the charging cable. I know they made it like this to keep it looking nice and to keep it clean but it is still annoying. So much so I cut the d@mn thing off. I dont think it looks bad without it and I can clean it if it gets dirty. Irritation 2.5.... Not really a complaint or even an irritation just something that would make it even more comfortable. I wish the ear cups were slightly deeper. They work fine and they dont hurt or anything but they do push my ears just ever so slightly. So the rim of my ear touches the foam covering the speaker. If the padding on the cups was even 50% thicker my ears would not touch and I'd be happier. But unless you have ears that stick out like Dumbo, I dont think they will be too bad. Just one of those little things. Overall I am very please with these. I use them for TV watching and Gaming and am very pleased. On a side note. These have a very good distance. I used them yesterday while mowing the lawn. I turned on music on the TV and wore them while riding the lawn tractor and only once did I loose signal for just a sec at the far end of the yard., About 150 feet. I dont recommend them for this purpose but I wanted to see just what they could do. Anyway they ave excellent range.

How to use with hearing aids
I have a severe hearing loss, so I wanted a pair of headphones that would totally cover my ears and work with my hearing aids. The Avantree HT50009 Plus headphones fit the bill perfectly. Yes, they don't replace hearing aids, but they really work great in conjunction with hearing aids. The sound is totally clear and undistorted, and the frequency response is fantastic. Also, the headphones are very comfortable for long-term use. But I did discover one thing about these headphones. When the hearing aids are set to "Normal," there is a weird interaction between the aids and the headphones that causes the sound level to fluctuate between the right and the left ears. It's all a bit annoying. It can be stopped by disengaging the filters and anti-feedback circuitry of the hearing aids, and this can be done by putting the hearing aids in "Music" mode. Now these headphones really sound super. My hearing aids are Starkey Muse, but I expect the the headphones can be made to work just as well with other models of hearing aids.

So far it seems like a great product
We ordered the transmitter and headset because the television sits right up against my son's bedroom wall. He goes to bed fairly early and has excellent hearing, so watching television at night was difficult. We looked around at different products and decided to give this one a try. Setup was relatively easy. The only challenge was in getting the TV, transmitter and soundbar to work together seamlessly. Ultimately I had to give up on using the ARC connections on my TV and soundbar, but was still able to get it to work fine by connection my video inputs directly to the soundbar and running the soundbar's video output to the TV. I connected the Avanta transmitter to the TV via the headphone jack because I couldn't get the optical connection to work, but I think that's more of an issue with my TV than anything. In this configuration, the headphones and soundbar work simultaneously, and I can adjust the volume of either without affecting the volume of the other. This works great because we all have different preferences on volume settings so now we can each have our own. The transmitter works perfectly, with no latency at all to the headphones. The headphones themselves are very comfortable and good sound quality and volume control. They connected to the transmitter on the first try with a push of a button. The only downside was the loss of the ARC connection functionality. If I turn the soundbar on after I turn the TV on, it automatically changes the TV speakers back to Audio Output and we lose transmission to the headphones and have to manually change it back to TV speakers. If we turn the soundbar on first and then the TV, then it works fine without any additional adjustments. It's not really an issue - just requires us to change some habits / routines. We like the system enough to order a second transmitter / headphone for the bedroom TV.

Uncomfortable, Audio Latency, and Closed Back???
(Return) They looked great, sounded great (a little quiet but you can turn them up), good signal, easy to set up. I had these headphones all of an hour before i packed them back up. They very first thing i noticed when i put these on was how uncomfortable i thought they were. They fit fine over my head and i have a big head. But my ears rubbed the inside of the muffs, they were much smaller than i expected. The padding was far too small and there wasn't enough room for my ears inside and this was a big deal to me but i wasnt going to let that ruin the headphones because they sounded great. The audio wasnt bad at all and i was almost able to walk to my mailbox and until they started cutting in and out. Now I stream my gameplay online and i use a a really nice XLR microphone and audio interface. I plugged the aux cable into my audio mixer and then to the transmitter and plugged the USB into my PC for power and then paired the headphones (which btw i read i wouldnt have to pair them..). Listening to music and watching people talk on Youtube looked fine and all but there was still a very small delay, probably 100ms or less. Less than 1/10th of a second. But that's enough. When i turned on my mic with 0 latency direct monitor on my audio mixer to hear myself talk it was late, sounded like an echo. Hearing myself twice, like someone was mocking me out of sync, was unbearable. This is a setting I use ALL THE TIME with my microphone and i even came to the conclusion that i just wouldnt use it anymore. I would just check my meter program to see how loud i was being instead of hearing myself. Since the delay wasnt bad enough to see the difference in video i was willing to try without it. By this point im actually getting quite annoyed with how uncomfortable they are for my ears and im just trying to appreciate my new headphones being wireless so im ignoring it. I play music and listen to the good sound quality while i talk to a friend of mine on discord and while im listening to music and not talking i look over and see that my microphone is picking up audio. I pause my music and ask my friend if they can hear my music (from my headphones) and they say yes they can. I take off my headphones and put the speaks against me as if they were on my head and SURE ENOUGH, they are BLASTING the sound on the outside too. I can hear the music as if it's just a speaker playing music. Like i said earlier, i stream my gameplay online and i cant have my audio going back into the microphone for my viewers to hear twice. That kind of audio issue is a sure fire way to lose viewers. With the moment heard the headphones playing music out loud, i immediately packed them up and issued a refund. I will update this in a couple weeks when i receive my full refund to let you all know how that goes. Amazon return policy will return my money within 7 days of amazon receiving the item. Maybe the technology just isnt there yet to have 0 latency with good quality. Stage earbuds for musicians are 0 latency but i heard they sounds bad and they cost upwards of $300-$700 for a set up. UPDATE: I received a FULL refund just a couple days after sending the item back through mail, which Amazon paid for the shipping. This doesnt make the product any different than I previously described, just saying their refund system is 💯

Brilliant wireless headphones
Wireless headphones are amazing for my husband, who is hard of hearing, watching the television has made a world of difference for him, and the sound quality is brilliant. We had a slight problem with the charging of the battery, but our contact Janice, has been so helpful, we had instant e.mails from her, and the quick response is excellent, replacing the item with no problem. Thank you so much Janice at Avantree.

Ottima scelta

Disappointing
Overall this is a fairly ok purchase. That is the highest praise i can give it. It did work according to the instructions and the write-up on amazon. The shortcomings are as follows. 1. The headphone is described is over-ears. I am small size and it barely covered my ears. It is NOT over ears and even for me it was only on-ears. So with people with "bigger heads" beware! lol! 2. The Bluetooth transmitter "speaks" out loudly every single time you connect the device is switched on and every single time the headphone is connected to the transmitter. I live in a small apartment with others and I watch tv late at night. Every time I switch it on it announces to everyone in the apartment that I am watching TV. The manufacturer should have made it possible to switch off this "voice". 3. This might not be a game changer but the power connection is by USB only. Thus you need to buy a USB adapter to connect it to the power socket. It in itself is not much but actually does add to the whole experience which is not positive. Thus, I ended up returning the product for a full refund. I will not recommend to anyone who uses headphones to watch TV regularly and looks for a quality product.
