The beans arrive already roasted, they just need to be ground to your liking. The roast dates are usually within 2 months of despatch.

Q: I'm a regular subscriber of this coffee. I thought that for a period, the packaging became recyclable, and was marked as such. Did I dream this?

Our packaging isn’t currently recyclable I’m afraid as there is a layer of plastic. We are always looking at ways to become more eco-friendly & sustainable and we are currently in the process of moving our packaging over to recyclable, it is at the final stages so should be available very soon. We were hoping to move to compostable coffee bags but unfortunately there is nothing on the market that will work with coffee beans at the moment. We really hope you continue to use our products and please believe we are always striving towards a more sustainable future. Thank you for your custom.

Question 1

What is the taste profile/strength of this coffee please it doesn't mention whether it is mild, medium or strong ?

Good morning and thanks for your question regarding our Swiss Water decaf.

I would characterise this blend as a mild to medium strength coffee, with a clean acidity and honey like sweetness. It has minimal bitterness.

Are these beans classed as super clean mycotoxin, pesticide & heavy metal free?

Good afternoon,

I can confirm that all of our purchased green beans and roasted coffee complies with the relevant UK and European Union legislation on minimum residue levels for Mycotoxins (Ochratoxin A), Pesticides and Heavy Metals.

We carry out an inspection schedule each year across a variety of randomly selected products verifying that our products are in compliance.

We would never declare any product as “free” from the above due to the presence of “limits of detection” during the testing process but we would confirm:

•	<5 micrograms per kg for Ochratoxin A (Our testing over the previous four years shows an average of less than 0.3 micrograms per kg).
•	Below the relevant limits of detection for a full pesticide screen or heavy metal presence (no issues reported above any limits of detection in the four years of testing).
