Perfect size for the project.

Flawless workmanship
Not only was I thrilled to find this item (I considered making my own if necessary), the quality was flawless. Smooth, fine grain wood with no knots and the construction was precise--exactly how I would have made it. I wish more products would show this level of attention to detail. The torii will be painted black and red and placed in my garden near a concrete Buddha that I purchased for $35 when I was out of work some decades ago. It was an extravagance at the time but it still makes me smile because it brings up fond memories. I finally have a yard and I look forward to creating a small Zen space. A worthwhile investment for me.

Lightweight plywood torii
The torii is made out of plywood and is lightweight. It is flat on one side. Once I set up my shrine, I plan to paint it to match the ones in Japan.

A little too pricey for what I received, but it was good quality and constructed well, definitely made in Japan.
