This natural bar soap is absolutely fantastic! I’ve purchased it multiple times now, and it has never disappointed. Lovely soap with a pleasant fragrance and great lather. Real lavender buds give it an exfoliating quality without any roughness or redness. Product lasts and lasts so this crate is a true bargain. It truly is a 5 star product - I would give it 6 stars or more if possible. I use it for facial care and am very happy with the luxurious sensation of self-care every time.

Great Soap. I spend about $75 for spa quality face wash because of my skin type but this works better and even calms my skin better. It smells great and can be used on the body and face. My skin loves it. I’m a customer for life.

Really liked the soap, the created a lot of suds without having to use a lot. I personally liked the smell that is a bit more earthy and I think it smells clean and made me feel clean. However, my wife is someone who can’t stand the smell of patchouli and apparently a quick google search reveals it’s a very polarizing scent.

Smells amazing! Gentle on skin, good size and lasts okay- depending on use and ofcourse if its set away from constant water, but it doesn’t exactly melt away either, all in all this is a great product and I will continue purchasing it.

I have been using this bar soap for about two years now. I continue to use it because of the ingredients, the way it’s manufactured, and because of how it feels on my skin in the shower and afterwards. I have only used the “no grit” flavors. The scents are ok, nothing special or exciting. Some of them barely have any scent whatsoever, and some of them have a mild scent. But none of the flavors I have tried have a strong scent, and none of the scents are bad or offensive. The lather is excellent really good lather. My skin always feels clean, hydrated, and healthy after showering with all flavors of this soap. Love this stuff. Crate 61 customer support is excellent.

Let me just get this out of the way now the soap itself smells decent, nothing wrong there. I only wish I got another cent. Not that this one smells bad it’s just it wasn’t my cup of tea. I’m mostly disappointed about the size because I’ve been through this before. The soaps themselves are not big enough to fill out the box as you can spot in some of the pictures and video. I honestly feel like the soap size was different in the pictures of the customer reviews that I saw. Each bar may last me a week and a half and that’s with a soap saver. To be honest, the box that it came in would fit two decent size soaps if they filled out the box.

I love this soap and have been buying it for better than six months. It has a great smell , not over powering. The ones with grit have just the right amount. Rinses clean in the shower without leaving residue. I think the price is fair and I am supporting our Canada neighbors!

So, there are some ups and downs here but the downs are really what you should expect when you buy natural/organic soaps. Firstly, being made almost entirely from saponified fats (this is a long and complicated bracket - fats are turned into soap and alcohol by action of heat in the presence of aqueous alkali, making them effective cleansers and able to foam... you could do this yourself at home quite easily) these soaps will leave a pretty grotty residue on the sides of your bath (if you've ever used African black soap you will know what I mean). Unlike other soaps which will mix with water more easily, sap fat soaps will cause a scum on the surface of the water which will attract skin cells and the like, forming a crust around the water line. Unless you want to clean your bath more often - only use these in the shower to avoid the scum building up or rinse thoroughly! The second thing to consider is that for the same reason as above, these soaps direly need to be kept dry when not in use. If you leave them in a damp shower bowl they will not last half as long as a bar of standard anti-bacterial soap. Aside from that, I have little else to say. Being from Canada, I don't think the lavender smell is quite as strong as true English lavender or even French but the smell is evident and very pleasant. There is also a minimal amount of texture to the soap so when used directly on the body they have a mild exfoliating effect. These bars foam extremely well for what they are. 7.5/10.
