Quality at a great price.
Just got this camera today. I am impressed with the quality feel of the camera and the details in craftsmanship. This does not look or feel like a cheep camera. I have taken a few pictures just to test it and they seem to be clear crisp shots. I leave this weekend for a cruise to the Bahamas and plan to give it the underwater test snorkeling and snuba. I will update my review when I get home.

Epic Fail
Fail - EPIC fail. I had the camera less than 4 hours and it failed. After it chewed through 4 sets of batteries - only getting about 10 shots per set - it froze up and started to squeal loudly. That was after the screen fuzzed out (as many others noticed), and after it failed to record a 1 minute video. I had higher expectations, and had planned to take it on a trip for diving. Glad I tested it at home before the trip, I would have been very very sorry. I understand this is a discount price camera, but one would expect it to at least perform to some expectations.

Works great
Worked great but if you zoom, itโs very grainy. Used it at the water park and didnโt have any problems.

Mixed feelings about this camera
We got this camera to take photos and videos while snorkeling at the Maldives. and I have mixed feelings for it. the positives - its not costly. - view screen for selfies - very light weight - uses interchangeable/rechargeable AAA batteries. perfect when you run out of battery you can always insert new ones. - video quality output is what we loved from this camera. the negatives - we used alkeline batteries and they run out like after 15 photos if not less. (didnt test lithium batteries). the worst part, our camera start malfunctioning when the batteries run low. without warning. the only time the camera starts functioning back normal is when we insert a fresh ones. this happened with Duracell and Energizer and Kodak batteries. during our 5 day vacation we replaced new batteries every day. next time we will only use rechargeable batteries. - photos quality was below average quality. most of them were hardly good. on the other hand video quality was above average to good Do I recommend this camera? if you want it for a "once in a while" beach vacation then YES. but for the long run, and for a weekly/monthly beach activities I would recommend proper underwater cameras that run in the range of $300 and above.

ok for the price if you dont have high expectations
You get what you pay for. Not a bad little camera, great for simple underwater snorkeling. hard to see out of view finder screens front and back, underwater or in sunlight. Need to replace batteries about every 75-100 pics even with no flash and power saving mode. I used the camera for 3 days while in Playa Del Carmen and Tulum Mexico after going thru 8 "AAA" batteries and definitely not seeing 20 Meg pixels quality (and yes I had it set to take 20MP) I'll give this camera to my 5 year old son to play with. also it is not shock safe. I took it horseback riding, jetski, and 4wheeling...it was on a long lanyard around my neck I'd set it between my legs and seat. All the vibrations and bouncing would freeze the camera couldn't turn it on or off, would have to take batteries out and re set it.

We bought this for our daughter to use for summer camp, sleep overs, and any other adventures she may come across. The pictures have turned out great, the batteries seem to work fine with the camera and she is excited to be making her own memories.

They all truly enjoyed them, and so did I
Everyone had one of these camera's on the beach-so fricken unreal. They all truly enjoyed them, and so did I. I was afraid at first, but after dunking the camera-all went well. No problem with batteries either, the batteries that came with camera, lasted the whole trip of 6 days. Yes! By it!
