Mxfans Black Bridge & Neck Humbucker Pickups for 7 String Electric Guitar Pack of 2

I tested out these pickups for a short period of time, but later deconstructed them to wind my own(these were cheap than just buying the hardware itself) I would recommend them.

Gave them 2 stars for now. Haven't installed them yet but I did check the impedance. The bridge pickup is WAAAAY out of spec at 13.1K ohms. The neck is 8.2K which is acceptable but the bridge is well below the 17K+ that is advertised. Going to install them and see how they sound. Will update after.asthmatics.Update: got them installed after having to modify the pickup cavities in my Jackson JS22-7. Just had to chisel othe the corners a little bit. Didn't even need to use a hammer. Look, these are cheap pickups going in a cheap guitar. After playing them for a week I can say that I like them. The lower output is offset by better note clarity and if I want more gain I can just add more gain. Overall I like them and they look sick, so I'm changing the grade to 4 stars.

Too large for standard 7 String humbucker routes. I did not want to route bigger holes, so I was unable to test the sound quality. They look cool though.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, these pickups do not fit a standard 7-string pickup cavity. This seems to be partially due to the covers being very flared out on the bottoms. I removed the covers and they fit ok, albeit a little snug. The pickups actually sound fine. Not very overly hot, and decent for a prog rock sound. Given the trouble installing, if they weren't dirt cheap, I would have simply returned them and not bothered removing the covers.

Like everyone Says about these Pickups, They Don't Fit. if you think they are going to be plug and play then don't buy this product. I knew that going into this before buying them for a 2005 Washburn WGS-587 Project I was working on. You need to Route out at least one side of your pickup cavity to work. with that being said once they were in they do sound great and only about 3-4K off Impendence wise from what the advertised rating. Can do Cleans Very Well and hold up when you throw Distortions and Delay on them. Overall, I would buy this product again, Good Quality for the money but buyer beware that the specs are not what they say they are.

Bought to replace the cheap pickups that came with an eBay kit. Very happy with them! I honestly like them almost as much as the Seymour Duncan pickups in my Schecter.

dropped these into a budget 7-string I was tinkering with.they're not gonna sound like a high-end set, but for the money, I'm pretty impressed.the install was standard, had to do some soldering but no big deal.the bridge pickup has a decent amount of output for heavy rhythms, and the neck pickup is okay for leads.great for a project guitar or a cheap upgrade from stock pickups.

These Mxfans Black Bridge & Neck Humbucker Pickups for 7 String Electric Guitar are pretty good.They have a pretty decent tone for a very budget friendly pickup set. I was quite shocked at how good they actually sounded.I can't comment on the fit because I used them in a custom scratch build so I made cavities to fit them rather than trying to retrofit them.They look good, the finish shows no signs of defects. Overall these are really nice pickups at this price.
