Why did you pick this product vs others?: Lightweight and perfect for mounting an audio recorder to a boom pole or light stand,

I have been using this Clamp for iPhone to take selfies on trails and such, and always managed to clamp it to whatever happens to be around on trails, roads, restaurants. Today I am ordering a second one, to mount the rear view dash cam unto the wind deflector of my convertible car (an SL55). I had tried using five different RAM mounts that I already had on hand but none worked. Then I remembered this SmallRig clamp, and it worked perfectly! A solid, non-permanent mount was achieved.

It works and is a good quality clamp. It is secured to the post ive got it on and doesn't slip. All of the threads are in good condition no burrs or half worn threading.

What I liked is this clamp has a variety of mounting points versus just a couple where it hinges. I also appreciate that it can take a crankn. That rigging shown is probably heavier than the working load is for this item, but it held in and in place. What I would have liked was the "tightener" to have been the spring loaded type for cramped spaces. There aren't many clamps with multiple mounting options, and this did the job for me...overloaded.

I purchased this because I needed a truly "super" clamp from SR. Truth be told, this isn't much bigger than their regular clamp. The major differences are there are more mounting points. BTW, there IS a 3/8" mount. It's where the Arri locating pins are (duh). The diagram shows a 3/8' sized hole, but it is not threaded. The T handle is pretty beefy, but I don't think it's worth the price point.

Great for creative mounting options! Strong grip, well made , multiple mounting points, & a small footprint while still having a wide mouth with rubber pads. Can't really ask for much more at this price.

Works great for mounting my 7" monitor on an arm.

Fixed it on a cylinder of a deskchair to prevent the chair going downwards..

I have a couple of super clamps that I mount to a tripod and attach and external monitor via articulating arm when I’m doing video or even headshots. This new version of clamp with the Arri locating pins is magical. I always had problems with the weight of the monitor helping to unscrew itself and now with my SmallRig articulating arm with Arri pins locked into the super clamp, no more rotation. My only mistake was ordering one. I will be getting another soon.

Worked well

This clamp is very useful for accessories mounting on tripod legs. But you will need two of them in parallel to avoid them sliding out of angle. That can be solved if you don't need to worry about over tightening (e.g. deforming a hollow tripod leg). If you're mounting it on the edge of a board, you can tighten it enough to avoid this.

Works great, exactly as expected. But if you don’t need the ARRI holes you can buy the cheaper SmallRig super clamp without it - they are the same size. If you are looking for an alternative to Manfrotto super clamp this is way smaller.
