They look good on and have drainage holes on the bottom of the shoe to allow the water to quickly drain away. This is the first time I've had water shoes with laces (elastic laces), I suspect this would probably allow you to really tighten them tight should you have narrow feet. First off they are super comfortable and very lightweight. It’s almost like wearing a pair of textured socks. The grip on the bottom/ sole is definitely solid and good on dry or wet ground. The insole is very textured and padded which I think is a good thing. I ordered a size 8 and I normally wear like a 7.5 or 8 in women’s shoes. Honestly I could have gone with a size 7 as there is a little room in the heel.
