XPETI Men's Thermator Low-Top Waterproof Hiking Outdoor Boots

I usually take a size 10 sneaker. I knew I needed space for layers of socks in this winter boot, so I bought 2 sizes up, but 12 was too big. I settled on size 11. When I'm just walking to work and don't bother with big thick socks, I add two layers of foam inserts. Very happy with the feel and apparent quality of the boot after one winter season. Especially happy that the materials are vegan.

These are some stiff shoes. Warm, great traction, but walking downhill they are not your friends due to said stiffness. Each step will force the ball of the foot forward heavily as the do not have much bend to them. Very helpful for flat space and uphill momentum but transmits extra impact thru the ankles, shin muscles and knees on downhills. Returning.

Owned the boots for work and started coming apart at the seams about 8 months in. I contacted the manufacturer as there is a 12 month warranty in which they replied they would only refund me 30% due to shipping and Covid related issues. I offered if they could refund me the full amount and I would just buy a new pair and no response after several emails and 3 weeks. As a home inspector there is nothing crazy or extremely rough about how I utilized the boots and you would expect a manufacturer to honor their warranty they offer.

I do landscaping the boots r everything to make a good landscape boot but where the boots crease when I'm walking has started to peel apart boot from soleand have only had the boots a month
