I have a picture of 11.5. X 13.2.** A: I do not have this on hand to measure; it was combined with an image and give as a gift. From my years as a picture framer, the measurements given for an OPENING (such as 11 x 14 inches) are for the size of the image that would usually 'fit' the frame without having the image 'fall out' through the opening. Most images are mounted on paper of one sort or another and also can be canvas stretched on wood or mounted on fom-cor or on masonite MDF (medium density fiberboard). So, the 11x14 would typically have an opening of 1/8 to 3/16 LESS on EACH of the four sides, so that an 11x14 image could be mounted behind the face, in the rabbet. This would make the actual opening 10 3/4 or 10 11/16 by 13 3/4 or 13 11/16, depending on the tolerances of the manufacturer. So, I would NOT think your 11.5 x 13.2 would work. The 13.2 is 'too short' and the 11.5 is 'too wide'. Obviously formatted to one of the many international 'standard' paper sizes and not this English/American paper/photograph standard. I would recommend choosing a larger frame, a 14 x 18 and having a matboard filler of appropriate color cut and inserted between the frame and the 11.5 x 13.2. If the image was more vertical than horizontal, which is how you have provided the measurements, I would have the matboard cut with a 'bottom weight', which only means that if you think of the mat as a window, then the sides and top have the same measure, and the bottom has a wider measure, as if it's the window sill. This image would them be attached by 'hinge' to the back top edge, centering the image, of the mat and the mat inserted into the rabbet of the frame and backed with similar size cardboard or fom-cor, chisel point stapled into place and a paper dust cover attached to back and cut down to frame size and hanging wire and eyelets attached. Have fun with the project! **Q: What is the measurements of the viewable area inside the mat of the 8x10 frame?** A: usually a bit less than 1/4 inch less on each side than the stated size. so prolly 7.5 by 9.5. **Q: will this fit a .75 canvas print?** A: I think it would stick out the back. **Q: What kind of hanging-on-the-wall hardware does this come with?** A: It has 2 metal bars attached to the back. One to use to hang frame vertically and one to hang horizontally. You will need to provide the hanger and nail to attach to the wall. It would have been easily 3X that had I done it custom. The gold and linen look wonderful with my photo-- giving rich texture without detracting. The great thing about the linen border is that it made a separate mat unnecessary. Although for my purposes, I wish the linen border were a little bit thicker (thus creating a bigger frame all-round for my 12x18 photo), that is a personal preference and certainly not a design flaw (and the product description accurately stated the size). All the necessary hardware is included. Lastly, I have never had anything ship so fast-- it was literally at my doorstep the next day! (well packed, I might add). Not sure that fast of a turnaround is typical, but it certainly was a nice surprise seeing as I was buying it as a part of a last minute gift! Stands up very well.Anyone trying to mat an 8x10 picture will run into a strange issue: almost all ready- made matted frames for this size of image are 11x14. But an 8x10 with 1.5 inches of mat should go into an 11x13 frame (you can find these, but selection is limited). The result of this strange step in standard frame sizes is that most matted frames for 8x10s have 2" of mat on the long sides and 1.5" of mat on the short sides. This almost looks ok (but not quite) for horizontally oriented images (ie landscape), but looks terrible for vertically oriented compositions (ie portrait).An easy and elegant solution is to get a frame like this one with an insert. I was able to easily remove the glass & wood backing & place my canvas right in there & close it back up with the metal tabs right onto my canvas board.
