Beware before hand...
Cheaply made but the light and magnifier work well. However, beware of exposed screws with sharp edges on the bottom surface. The first time I slid the lamp across a three thousand dollar desk, it left huge scratches that I still haven't been able to buff out. I had to glue a piece of scrap fabric to the bottom to protect my desk. You'd think the manufacturer would have thought to do that. Two stars for lack of common sense.

Ok but 10x not usable for detail work
I got this as I do detailed jewelry work, and was looking for a good size 10x magnification. And though this lamp has one, its really tiny area to look through. So you have good eyes and don't have a need to see more than about 1" at 10x. This is ok.
