Got these to couple two short braided lead hoses and they work great. Wish someone would manufacture braided hoses longer than 18” however this is a viable fix. Great product at a great price.

Update: I had to destroy one and I had the right end mill in the milling machine so... I cut a cross section showing the thinnest and thickest portions of the hex and broke out the macro lens. These would be so much more robust with the hex cross section left in place. ------------------ initial review------------------------ Item reviewed: 1/4" npt female to female pipe coupler pack of 10. I wanted these for air hoses mainly which around here are terminated by 1/4" npt males. These are solid brass and nicely machined and fit is good. Unfortunately these have been over machined. The wall thickness under the machined outer area between the root of the thread and the outside is only 0.030-0.040" thick. That's very thin material making these very weak. What's even sadder is that these look to be made from hex stock and if the outer surface had not been machined then they would have been a great deal stronger. I've had quite a few recent failures at the threaded coupling of various items. This seems to be a modern problem of not having enough material at the thread root. I have not broken one yet I just noticed this on first deploy and took a few moments to measure the wall thickness. For any serious industrial purpose I'd look elsewhere.
