Contains 2,375 according to the box.
In case anyone is curious, 5 pounds is 2,375 staples according to the box. Definitely a lot in there. They are a little thinner than I thought they would be, but they will still work well. The metal is thick enough that I could not easily bend them with my fingers. Have not tried to hammer them yet, but I think they will hold up well.

Four Stars
just what i was looking for.

Too soft and not pointy
Too soft to be used in hardwood fence post, and or they are not sharp enough. So now I have 5lbs of s-crap to take to my grave

Kinda weak
These are the perfect size for poultry fence or hardware cloth. They work great in untreated pine or other really soft wood but they are way to weak for the boards in my barn. If your building a run or chicken coop and using pine then they will work fine. I was turning a barn stall into a coop and got very frustrated at how many just crumbled when I tried to hammer them in.

Not a quality staple
The top staple is the Hillman Fastener and the one below is one I had from purchased from an old fashioned hardware store by the pound. The Hillman legs are not parallel and the legs are not as sharp or uniformed. Generally one legโs point is generally bent over and is not sharp like the older staple. I did not try to drive one as I will probably return it as these are just not quality staples. I believe these would have a tendency to spread as the legs are already spread and one legโs pointed tip is bent over by the way it was sheared.

Poor Quality
Short and sweet ! These are just bent wire. I suggest you try another brand.
