I am completely satisfied with this bowstring
This bowstring (12 strand for me) arrived quickly through Amazon's shipping services. I am completely satisfied with this bowstring. It can be easily folded up for storage when unstrung, but is sturdy and strong when taut. Fits any arrows (to my knowledge) you can buy at a major retail outlet. Works well with a quick-release trigger (just make sure to install one of those little loops to grab with the quick-release, rather than the bowstring itself). Overall, it's a quality buy.

Got a dud...
I must be in the minority, I installed my new string tonight on my Greatree Deerslayer Recurve, and the serving is already spreading out near the nocking point, and near the limb tips. Not enough to mean the string will break today, or even a few days from now... But this is a brand new string, and it's in the same condition my old one was that I am replacing with this one. But I do not trust this string now at all, I will be replacing it within a week. I ordered 2, so I will try setting up the second string tomorrow, and see if it's in better shape... But I don't have very high expectations. If the second string is in the same condition in the first I will certainly NOT order these strings again. For those who do not know, the serving is an integral part of the bowstring and helps prevent the strands of the string from breaking where the string undergoes the most friction and stress (the nocking point and the limb tips). If the Serving frays and or spreads that means it's not protecting the strands of the string as it's intended, and it means the string could break.A broken string might not destroy your recurve or other kinds of trad bow outright, but it's basically the same or worse than a dry fire, and in most modern laminated flat bows, it's pretty much a done deal that you will have a broken or damaged bow.I have never experiences a broken string, but it's happened to my dad, and it's quite a painful shock. One I never want to experience for myself. What I'm getting at, is a bowstring is one of the parts of the bow that should not be taken for granted at all. That said, this string shot very well right out of the box, so I hope the second string I got will be in better shape, because I like the performance. Very quiet with a silencer for a fast flight, and aside from the loose serving, the loop construction is very robust.

Great buy for an old weapon now popular again
Way back when I was in high school, we had an archery team and i participated on it. I still have my plain old bow but had been unable to find a string for it. Suddenly with the bow and arrow in recent movies, the age old weapon is returning to popularity. Hurrah for Amazon listing so many things to buy. I found the string to fit my bow and it is perfect, well made and should last a long time. The price was most reasonable and I am very happy to be playing Robin Hood again.

I can not recomend this company
I gave the bow string a two star rating because looking at it, it looks good. Durability only got one star because i didnt get to use it. Value, seems to be a OK string for the money. But none of that matters because I ordered a 52" and I recieved a 48" bow string. If this company can not get the length correct, I do NOT want them to make me a BOW STRING!

Orphan string with shattered bow
Got the string and it was clearly the correct length. Nice product. It is just what I needed, past tense. I got the bow at a tag sale. One tip was broken so I removed the other one also and made a shorter bow. No big deal. I have made bows from less. When I went to string the bow, I put it on my bow press and one of the limbs just shattered. Now I have a string with no bow.

GREAT BUY
I have a 66" oak long bow and this string is the cheapest one i found if i were to go into a store near my house i wouldn't be able to get such a high quality string without paying an arm and a leg. I have tested this string shooting arrows at apples sitting on a bail of hay the string is very quiet for the price i reccomend this to any one with a bow

Good bow string, bad shipping.
The bowstring was just what I was looking for, as I do not have an archery shop nearby anymore. The string arrived promptly, and was in perfect condition. Still works great. However, the shipping cost to my location, which was less than 300 miles from the seller, cost me more than the string itself. I checked with the USPS online site, and it would not have cost that much to ship to me. Do not buy this if you do not want to, essentially, pay double the price for a single string.

String itself is great, but the serving is terrible
The string came at the right length and is the good old fashioned dacron that the older recurves need. The problem is the center serving is this THICK plastic garbage. The nocks of any standard Gold Tip or Easton arrow will be WAY too tight on this thick serving. I had to pay to have the center area reserved which was almost the same price as the whole string. Just a head's up to archers out there, if you are getting inconsistent groups, make sure to check how tight your nocks are holding onto the string. The fitment should be as follows: Nock the arrow, let the arrow hang from the string, (if it won't, then it's obviously too loose) next, give the string a nice solid tap next to the arrow, the arrow should disengage from the string. If it won't, then the nock is too tight and WILL effect arrow flight. 3 stars for the garbage center serving, would go 5 if it weren't for that.
