JJ Cole Collections Diaper Caddy, Blue Stripe (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Love this diaper caddy! When my daughter was born three years ago we received the pink version as a gift, and it was without a doubt the most used baby item we had. It traveled all over the house with us everyday for 3 years until my daughter was fully potty trained and we no longer needed it. It is so convenient having everything you need for a diaper change in one portable location! I am now expecting my second child in a few months and have purchased a new one in blue. I will say the first one held up amazingly well over three years even with my daughter occasionally trying to use it as a stepping stool. The only real wear is on the outside of the box. Over the years it has become rather dirty looking, with a little help from some crayons and markers, otherwise it still works fine. The only issues I had with the first one were with the drawer and the changing pad. The drawer would stick a little when we first got it but that got better with use, and the drawer on the new one doesn't stick at all. The changing pad works fine for the most part, however there were a few late night changes during the early months where my daughter would pee before I could get a new diaper on and if she wasn't on a completely flat surface (even our bed wasn't flat enough) then the pee would just run off the plastic onto whatever was under the pad. Also the material the back of the pad is made of is the same as the rest of the caddy and is difficult to wash. We eventually stopped using the diaper pad the caddy came with as my daughter got older. It is easily replaced with a different pad or even a small blanket. In spite of these minor complaints I recommend this caddy to any new parent! The pros far outweigh the cons. This diaper caddy has even become my go baby shower gift!

The product is sturdy.The drawer is a little sticky, but that can be easily fixed with the addition of a little bee's wax.Space Saver.I use disposable diapers so I don't know how well it would work with cloth diapering. I no longer own a changing table on account of making room for all of the other "stuff" (mainly toys, shoes, and clothes) that I accumulate with each new "addition" to the family. A caddy is so much more compact.Well, it's not a new piece of furniture...I don't know if a first time mommy would appreciate as much I as I do with a third little one. (Personally I'm not sure that I could have been torn away from the idea of having a changing table. When you're a first time mommy, you have time to read a lot of mommy mags and get your head "turned" by all of the grand "stuff" and furniture that you mistakenly think that you need.)Awesome.Honestly though, for the money that I spent on buying my one fall-apart cheap changing table - I could have easily bought two of these caddies. This is what I ended up doing. I have one in the living room and one in my bedroom, because when I'm chasing down baby while also managing my other little ones, I can use every short-cut and break that is afforded me.Simple. Elegant. Single Hand use.It fits 10 diapers in the diaper section, leaving room for a nice big tub of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. I really don't use the drawer much, because my butt paste is in the tub form (LUV ALSO). So I can pretty much handle everything involved with the caddy with a single hand (grab pad and layout, hold down baby -other hand, grab diaper, open and apply wipes - stash used wipes in used dipe, open and apply butt paste.).Thank you to whoever designed this.This is probably the first positive review that I have ever written on Amazon, because this little caddy is THAT inspiring.

I chose this based on the high reviews. Big mistake. Here is what I didn't like about it:1. While shown with a changing pad, mine was missing one.2. The caddy is cardboard covered by some thin fabric poorly glued. The edges were already lifting up.3. The handle was already loose and I can't imagine this lasting beyond a few months after you start using it. The weight of what you put in the caddy seems like it would cause the handle to rip off.4. I got the light blue color and it had dark scruffs and what appear to be dark and light grease like smudges on the pull out drawer.5. The two large compartments are not both as deep as the full height of the caddy. One compartment, the one above the drawer, obviously is shorter since the drawer is beneath it. However, that made this compartment seem useless to me. You could put diaper wipes there, so long as you aren't buying in bulk and have a large dispenser.6. The drawer was not easy to open. Who knows how much more difficult it would become to open once you have the compartment on top of it filled and the weight pressing down on the drawer.7. The caddy unfilled was heavier than anticipated. Again, once you fill it, it would be heavier still and I worried it would cause the cardboard caddy to fail.8. Because of what this is constructed of, you can't wash it or really wipe it with a wet cloth to get it clean without compromising the structure. Not what I wanted with something that will undoubtedly get dirty.9. It wasn't as large as I hoped. If it was 25% larger, it would have been great. But I'm sure plenty find it a great size.I am returning it. It's a cute color, but practically, it does not meet my needs. Plus, I'm not going to pay this much for something made of cardboard that is not going to last.

I have this for almost 3 yrs before it start to show wear and tear (mainly because my 2.5 year old ripped the front off when I use it for my second child. But nothing hot glue couldn't fix). I love it. It's convenient and holds everything I need for changing diaper. I used it for my first child since she was born until she was potty trained. And I'm using now for my second child. It is made out of sturdy cardboard and water stain does make it look grungy. It can hold a good amount of diapers even with a big hand sanitizer bottle in there. It fits pampers or huggies brand wipes. The little drawer is great for rash diaper cream and small knick knacks. The pocket in the back is good for extra waterproof liner or extra pair of outfit. I wouldn't fill it up to max capacity because it can be quite heavy.

After much deliberating over buying this caddy, I am so pleased I did! Yes, it is a bit pricey for this tyoe of product, however I am really pleased with the quality and it does seem pretty sturdy. Not to mention how stylish it will look in my living room all stocked up once baby is here! One small thing to note is that is has a 'JJ Cole' label on the front of the drawer which you can't see in any of the images.

This was without a doubt the best purchase I have ever made for my car, not what its intended for I realise but exactly what I was looking for! Perfect size and just fantastic.

Wickelstation fiel kleiner aus, als erwartet. Sah auf den ersten Blick sehr ansprechend aus und stabil.Aber keine saubere Verarbeitung: an einer oberen Ecke befand sich ein grosser hässlicher Fleck gelben Leims und an einer Seite ein dunkler Fleck, der durch die Stoffbespannung durchschien. Die Außenwand hinter der Wickelauflage war zudem nach innen gewölbt/verbogen. Definitiv den Preis nicht wert.Habe den Artikel daher wieder zurück geschickt.
