Another devastating pellet is the H&N baracuda hunter hollow point 18.21 grain. Very accurate in my rifle with the same velocity, but as you can see in my pictures the baracuda hunter ridiculously expand. They expand even more than the hunter extremes but the extremes seem to penetrate a little further and have a small noticeable larger shockwave, if that makes any sense. I also added a picture with a bar of soap that the hunter extreme had hit at 25 yards, amazing result. Like I said, if your rifle can push these at about 800fps or even launch these bad boys greater than 25 joules then you should definitely give them a try and see if your rifle will like them. I have shot creatures up to 34 lbs with these and dropped them producing horrific kill shots to them with these. Feral dogs, cats, goats, pigs, Roosters, doves, mongoose, you name it, these pellets have put a hurtin to them in droves. Actually hit one feral goat flat in the face with them at 35 yards, that goat did a back flip and was on the ground doing the Watusi for about 2 minutes, did not even make an attempt to run any further . I've had round nose pellets in really high power PCP guns bounce off their heads due to a bad angle of shot.. the JSB metal Mags or H&N Hornets will not as that hard sharp metal point digs in like a track cleat. The Metal Mags group at sub 1.5 inches at 100 yards in a 75ftlb Airforce Condor the H&N Hornets are deadly accurate as well but start to drift and cork screw out of that gun at about 70 yards... to me the Polymags are not good big racoon pellets for head,shots but are very good for cheat,lung,heart shots in guns with at least 30ftlbs if you want to take them out to 50 yards, smaller coons a 30ftlbs gun will have no issue taking at 75 to as far as a 100 yards so long as the coon is 10 lbs or less.. for the big 20 to 25 lb coons keep it close and do NOT use less then a 20ftlb gun... 30ftlbs is safe on the big guys to 50 yards... 50+ foot lbs, take them as far as you can accurately put lead in target. I've had 220 yard kills on 20 to 25 lb coons with 100+ ft lb guns and with head,shots it's instant OFF for them... never take a step. **Q: Where are they made?** A: These are made in Germany! Out of 10 different pellets these group the best out of my Benjamin Titan .22 **Q: Has anyone used these in a benjamin NP2? And are they a good hunting pellet?** A: I Also own a Benjamin Marauder Pistol and Rifle, and shoot them well over 2500 psi for hunting. Also a CZek rifle. I've compared these to many brands and there are much better brands. Specifically for the the Benjamin Marauder Rifle I use the heavy version of the JBL and the Medium for the pistol. Tried as many as 100 pellets to do the comparison. I'm sure that if you don't compare you'll believe that these are one of the best pellets, but if you do, you'll be in for a good surprise. Have seen this happen to a friend that also thought well of these pellets. Not anymore. **Q: How can I return these? Wrong caliber for my guns** A: You should be able to since these a simply metal and not a cartridge with powder or primer making pellets not ammunition. I dont have a chronograph or anything fancy, but i can tell you at roughly 50 yd these pellets yield my tightest grouping. You notice the quality increase in these pellets the moment you pick up the tin and feel the weight difference. The skirts on these are casted from a more robust blend of lead and maintain their shape. You rarely find one that is deformed like a crosman or gamo pellet. H & N actually requests higher quality blends of lead from the foundry they obtain it from in germany, and it shows. As far as pest control goes, i'm pretty sure these are the grim reaper for squirrels. These send them into instant shock upon impact, i never see one run after placing an ethical shot.
