I expect it to be the same with the XT3. **Q: Can the wooden grip be removed?** A: Yes easily, I haven’t used it all. Very happy with it generally **Q: Do you think it possible to dye the wooden handle to black with some sort of wood varnish** A: I would have thought so, you would have to remove the existing varnish with some sort of stripper to allow the new dye to soak into the wood, if it is wood. downside to stripping wood is the moisture in the stripper will probably raise the grain in the wood requiring light sanding when dry, and if all the varnish is not all removed you get an uneven colour finish. **Q: Is this L-bracket compatible with the wooden handle 2093?** A: I have the screw in handle and the one that fits on an arca Swiss L bracket. It fits really well on the tripod and changes from landscape to portrait without the hassle of moving the tripod head into the recess as you would normally do, fells rock solid, even with the extension out to its fullest, also handy for steadying your camera when hand holding.The only negative for me, and its not a biggie, is the "magnetic" disc on the bottom of the unit for loosening/tightening the screws. It's well made and very versatile, as the bracket at the side of the camera is on an adjustable slide, allowing the doors of the camera to be opened if needed. If any adjustment is needed there is a key underneath the bracket that's held in place by magnets, so no searching around for allen keys. There is also full access to the battery compartment.At first I wasn't too sure about the wooden hand grip, but having seen it and used it, I think that it suits the retro look of the X-T3. An added bonus is that it also fits my X-T2.I have a Kirk L bracket for my X-T2 and I have no problems saying that the Smallrig pretty much as good as the Kirk, but more versatile. It's also a good bit cheaper to buy, with little if any sacrifice in quality. The handgrip of the Smallrig is also a plus, as I find the handgrip of the XT-2/3 a bit on the small side for my quite large hands.In summary, the Smallrig is definitely worth considering if you're in the market for an L bracket. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money on other brands. Saying that though this is not expensive considering the price of your equipment.I have found this so useful for the X-T3 (I have one for my D850 also but not this brand) so can compare quite easily.The fit is perfect and the fact that the L Bracket comes with its own magnet screwdriver allows you to close down the L slide when not in portrait orientation.
