Permanent Brights Creme Hair Color Purple, Vegan, Cruelty Free, PPD Free, 100% Gray Coverage, Long Lasting, Fade Resistant Color, 2.05 oz

I used this dye on my bangs after bleaching my bangs completely. The dye is very dark, almost black with a purple shine in the light. In some lightings it even looks dark blue. It is more a blue purple than a royal purple. I used a creme developer, (the instructions are annoyingly inside the box, and it uses a 1:1 ratio) and mixed it up. Letting it sit for 30 minutes is plenty of time. Great pigment, again a little more blue. You need the developer. The reviews that say it doesn't work may not have used the developer.

This color is pretty, but it washes out in 2 weeks. I even used Ion color lock conditioner to seal in the color when it was applied and each time I washed my hair. It was left in my hair for 45 minutes with 30 developer.

I’ve used this purple dye for over 2 years now. It’s a gorgeous purple color that covers my gray hairs well, though I leave it on for 45 minutes. I use 10 volume developer and since some of my hair is brown instead of gray, I bleach the part I color purple before using the dye. I get compliments on my hair every time I go out, even when I’m just going through a drive thru.

Love this product and company. I have been using Ion products for over 10 years and I won't ever go back to semi-permanent hair dye that washes out in two weeks without reapplication. I *still* have this purple in my hair two months later.

They didn’t cover my grey hair like it was supposed. I not sure what when wrong. I love the colors though.

The first thing you need to know is that to properly use this product you need to get either 10 volume developer or 20 volume developer and dilute by half. Once you have mixed this product with the appropriate developer, then I think you will be very pleased with the results. The smell is not unpleasant, the product has a great texture going on, and it100% covered even my gray hair. I am extremely pleased with the results. I personally decided to leave it on for 40 minutes because I have very very resistant to dye hair. After I rinsed it out completely, I did apply a conditioner, which I left on for about five minutes before rinsing it off. In my opinion, the results are spectacular. The color is deep and rich and vibrant. My hair is also soft. Obviously, I am extremely pleased with this product.

I used this a few weeks back and my hair was dark purple. Now it’s burgundy red and there’s no purple at all. Second time trying it and it’s the equivalent of using 3 day wash out temporary hair color. I do not recommend this.

Tip: you have to mix this in with a developer. The inside of the box reccomends 10 volume developer with a 1:1 ratio. Meaning, if you use 4 oz of the tube, add in 4 oz of developer and mix them together. For reference: My natural hair is an ashy blonde color. The texture is fine and straight. This is the perfect shade of purple for my hair. It makes my green/hazel eye color stand out! I recieve plenty of compliments on my hair. After the 3 1/2 - 4 week mark it starts to fade but I think that is normal when you dye your hair any "funky" color. I will continue to use this hair color until I want a change.
