Aloha, There is a spring that attaches the top and bottom at the waist which allows it to move back and forth in a dancing motion. This a fun item and great for dashboards. Mahalo, KC Hawaii

Q: Is the skirt resin or real grass/straw?

I sent it back as soon as I opened the box. The skirt was falling off and I was not keeping it. It was quite a while ago so I really don't remember what the skirt was made of. I thought it was very cheaply made.
