Alot of bamboo boards are layered and glued using a formaldehyde based resin which is obviously not great and as been linked to cancer etc. If they have a label saying non toxic this generally means the toxic resin hasn't been used but when there is no mention at all it doesn't normally mean it automatically has **Q: what oil is used on it?** A: I don’t think any is used on it. They’re very good, thick and sturdy. **Q: Are these boards pre-oiled?** A: I didn't notice any oiling on them so I presume not.
