Truly amazing,.wish I had found this years ago
This thing is amazing. I used it on my very matted up almost Rastafarian dog. This thing is like a bunch of steak knives welded together, you just gently pull it with a jiggling motion and it cut the knots into pieces which then comb out with little tugging. If you are tugging you have it angled wrong. The tips are blunted so you don't have to worry about cutting the skin, even on ears and tail.

Matts and sticky weed don’t have a chance!
Careful! Blades are sharp as heck. Do an awesome job. Make sure you keep the protective cover. Doesn’t damage their coat and is very well made.

What I Needed
I am able to get through mats of my double coated Keeshond but it seems it is taking out more hair than necessary. I wonder if I need a smaller one.

Best comb for deshedding!
I got this to see if it could get the mats, and dead undercoat, out of my daughter's huskies. This, in combination with detangling spray, has worked miracles! I got 3 brushes total and tried each one. This one was the best, by far. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Very sharp and easy to use!
I love this tool, it's extremely sharp, very affordable and it's not too big for my relatively small hands. I will confess that I don't use it on dogs though. I use this to “pull” my horse's mane. I am not a fan of the traditional method and I learned this trick when I was working on the racetrack. No matter what you are using these for they are very easy to use! They stand up to multiple horses and multiple uses, and they stay very sharp, so be careful!

Great for getting through the undercoat (especially if you are left handed).
This de-matting tool is ideal for long haired dogs with thick undercoat. Previous de-matting combs have to be pulled through the hair which caused my dogs to be very uncooperative. This one the teeth are long enough to be able to use a saw like motion that cuts the mat without pulling hard. Just sharp enough to cut the undercoat but not much hair. Has made grooming easier for me and my dogs. Also shape is ambidextrous (saw other reviews for combs that could not be used by lefties - no problems with this one).
